My son will be 7 months next week, and he eats 3 meals a day, as well as 4-5 6 oz. bottles. He eats veggies, fruits, cereals and even meat..sometimes he is so hungry he can eat a whole jar of baby food at once. I worry about him getting too much, or too little, but i think you just have to go with what your baby is telling you, if they want it they will open their mouths or grunt or close their lips. I find it so strange that everyone elses baby weighs around 20 pounds, Logan weighs 19 pounds and whenever someone asks me how old he is, they are soooo surprised he is so big. I'm not sure what they are thinking?!?
Matthew will be 7 months in just over a week. He was 19 lbs 11 oz at his 6 month appt. He nurses once during the night (3-4am) or early in the morning (5-6am). At breaksfast (8am) he gets 4 tbsp cereal mixed with about 3 tbsp fruit (he won't eat the fruit on its own very well). Then he nurses a little before his morning nap (9am). He gets an 8 oz bottle around noon (sometimes only drinks 6oz). Then nurses after his afternoon nap. At dinner he has 4 tbsp cereal and about 1/2 small jar veggies. He gets an 8oz bottle around 6pm (again often only drinks 6oz) and then sometimes nurses a little right as he's going to bed. Don't worry about the amount she's eating. The nursing or formula is the most important part of her diet still. She will let you know if she's had enough. The amounts I gave you are what I make for Matthew. He will open wide if he wants it and when he's had enough, he very clearly closes his lips tight and turns his head away. Then the meal is over.

My son will be 7 months in a few days. He is 20lbs as well. Right now he only eats cereal with a jar of fruit or veggies at dinner time. Otherwise he will eat a 6oz bottle about every 3 hours during the day. I have tried to do cereal in the afternoons, but he wants nothing to do with it. I mix the fruit/veggies right with his cereal, and make it a thicker consistancy. He will not eat the food straight from the jar. He will also not eat the fruit/veggies if mixed with the oatmeal cereal, only with the rice cereal.

It sounds like you are feeding her just fine! My son is almost 7 mo now (next week) and he is only getting cereal and fruit or veggies once a day (at dinner). He weighs almost 19lbs. Our pediatrician said to give him 2 meals at 7-8 mo and 3 meals at 9mo. No meat until 9 mo. I guess every Dr. is different since others have said otherwise! Good luck! She is beautiful!

My daughter is 6 months and is 16 pounds 9 oz. Before we started her on any foods, her doctor told us a good guide to know how much to feed her. She suggested that we start with one fruit and rice cereal in the morning. After breakfast is established for a few days add one vegetable for lunch and some fruit added later. Then after breakfast and lunch are established, two vegetables for dinner. In between meals formula or breast milk. If the formula or milk is more than they were eating before you started foods, then increase their food intake. The idea is to get the baby onto a three meal day. It should take up until their first birthday. Then stop the formula. Breast milk is a little different for length. Meats I think can be added at 7 months. Just ask your pediatrician if you have questions. Every baby is different. My daughter had food allergies from birth. Milk and soy proteins.

My son is 6 1/2 months and weighs 18lbs. I feed him full small bottles of formula every 3-4 hours and feed him pablum fruits and veggies twice a day - once for lunch and once for supper. I normally put about 6 tablespoons of pablum and around 2/3 of the fruits or veggies from the container. So I would say she is doing great, my doctor says he is growing just perfectly so, you should be fine with what you are feeding her. Hope this helps.
