My little boy had Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) & Bronchiolitis :(

my son has RSV now do i do hes been to the doctor hes been to the hosp. hes on medicine but hes still not getting better his doctors name is dr. kassas and all he says is that i have to be patient he says he doent wanna put him on breathing treatments until the last minute possible and im thinking why? ugh its frustrating

Hi there my son is 14 months old, he had high fever and bad cough. So we went to doctor and he had positive pneumonia. On the second day his condition was really worse, so we went to his pedi. and he had bronchialitis due to RSV, and he had been on oxygen for several times. Now my son looks a lot better, but he still doesn't want to eat solid food, he just want milk and juices. I hope and pray that my son won't have this RSV anymore.

hi.my daughter amelia who is 7 months has just come out of hospital tonight with the same thing.went to the docs yesterday morning and he sent for an ambulance.she started with a cough and cold last friday and got really bad over the weekend,she was on oxygen for a day but she was only in hospital for one night.they told me she would have the cough for 6 weeks.she was ill 5 weeks ago with a cough and cold and high temp,and she was just getting over that.so now shes lost nearly a pound in weight.which is worrying but she still weighs now 19lb 5 oz,so im trying not to worry that much about it.im just hoping she gets well soon as i dont want her to lose any more weight.did your little boy lose any weight with being so ill?

I have been through this with my first daughter at 9 months, she was in the hospital for 9 days. Then hospitalized again at 2-1/2 as well as my 4 day old son. She was in for 5 days that time and him for 10 days. Luckily they have both outgrown the respiratory problems and my 7 month old baby girl has had no problems.

Hi my son Ethan also had RSV & Broncholitis and he had to stay in hospital for 8 day it was so scary he was only 6 weeks old and he couldn't breathe, he had to have oxygen for 7 days he wouldn't feed it was horrible.



I have had a couple of scares since then he has been very wheezy and i think that he's getting it again and then it clears up by it's self.



it's such a horrible thing for kids to have.
