Sleep (nap and at night)

I have a 10 month old baby girl. She has always been a great sleeper. But the past week, she refuses to take nap during the day for the most part. She use to nap in the morning for about an hour and a half and about 2:00 she would nap again for about 2 hours. Then at night she would go to bed about 7:30 or 8:00. But the last week, she refuses to nap in the morning, and will take about an hour nap during the day, but cries for 10-15 minutes before she will go to sleep. Then at bed time she does the same thing. She will cry for about 15-20 before she will go to sleep. I don’t know what to do? I don’t know if one nap during the day is enough, and I don’t know why she won’t go to sleep at night? Any ideas?

My daughter is the same. I think its because they are so busy, learning new things everyday that they just want to continue to practice it.

I am thinking that she might be getting an ear infection. She been running a little fever, and I have been blameing it on teething. She pulls are her ears all the time, so I don't really know. But I am taking her to the doc. today at 3:30. I won't feel bad for letting her "cry it out" if I know that she doesn't have an ear infection. Thanks for everyones input. Glad to know that I am not the only one going through this..lol.

hi my boy is the some age and dong the some thing. i put him down bout 8am or 8 30am for his morning nap but he will sleep an hour then he gos back down at 1 30pm but he wont do that now then for bedtime i give him a bath at 7pm and gos to sleep at 7 30pm in his bed with hes bottle but he wakes up bout 4 time before i go to bed then bout two time in the night. i dont no what to do is will

My 9 month old twins are doing the same thing.  Our Dr said that they are at a development point where just b/c they can't see us they still know we are there.  So my guess would be that she doesn't want to miss anything.  I was told to just let them sooth themselves and let them cry even if it took an hour.

My son is 9 months old and just went through this too... I'm not sure why, but I just kept the schedule with the 2 naps and bedtime at 7:30, and it took about a week and a half, but he's fine now. I threw 5 or 6 pacifiers in his crib so he could always find one (they sooth him back to sleep). Good luck!

she might just be ready to cut down her day sleeps.. i would try putting some safe quiet toys in her bed to keep her happy until she falls asleep. My little boy has his bunny and bear in bed and unless hes teething hes quiet in his bed til he falls asleep and i have to set my alarm in the morning to get him up cos hes just happy playing in bed til i go get him!!
