I'm thinking of swapping to cloth diapers. I'm going to start potty training soon. my son can tell me when he's pooped and he stays dry through nap time and several hours during the night. i've read using the cloth diapers helps them realize when they are wet to connect the urge and the sensation. any suuggestions?

Well, they are pricy a bit :) if you can afford buying them just in case, go ahead, but... if he is already able to say, when he did poo, is it worth? for instance, my DD got the point of potty during the time of one evening. so it would have been awaist to buy clothe diapers :) Hope you will be lucky the same.

we used cloth nappies with our daughter, and yes she was able to tell when she'd been and she didnt like it. we then changed to terry towelling training ants coz they are more absorbent than undies, and when she got hang of them finally changed her into underwear. whole process took us about 8 weeks. good luck.

thats very true. it helped alot with my son. the cloth will also make them wanna use the potty cause they will feel the wetness and such. i would recommed using them before starting the training. good luck :)
