Lately my daughter wakes up in the morning and her diaper is so full that her pjs are wet. We tried putting her in the next size up and also tired a night time pull up. She still wakes up soaked. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are not sure what to try next.

we put two diapers on our daughter for awhile - it worked. the problem only lasted about a month for us and we just do normal diapering now.

We offer Amelia the potty and make sure she is in a fresh diaper before bed. Though we do still have soaked jammies in the morning. I have noticed the fleece sleepers at least keep the bed dry. I have also put a cloth diaper cover over the disposable and that holds in the moisture. (We use cloth during the day.)

I agree with Jamie, Pampers overnight are the best, I change my daughter right before I put her in her crib and she can have a bottle or two and that diaper with not leak. I even use the over night in the day because if I go out somewhere and can't change her as often as I would if I was home, I know that there won't be any accidental leaks.

Sherri, something I did with my son was having him sit in his high chair after he ate and have him drink either juice or milk, I would let him sit til he drinks about half. That helped him, maybe it could help your youngin. And definitely try the night time diapers, those helped me out a lot, because unlike your youngin, my son never made a noise, he would just sleep. I hope this helps you out.

My son did the same... You have to cut down on how much she drinks before bed. Christian still takes a bottle before bed so I let him stay up about 10 to 15 minutes after he finishes it, so that he can pee a little bit of it out and then change his diaper right before I lay him down. I also I had to put Christian in Huggies overnights. But if she is still wearing onesies beware.... The ink from the front picture will come off on the onesie. Good luck :-)

We use the pampers overnights in a size bigger! We don't have any wet pj issues 99.9% of the time!

I will have to try the Pampers overnights again. I am currently using the Huggies and loved them until this point.

I also went through this with my 20 month old son. I stopped giving him liquids 1 hour before bedtime and used the pampers overnight. So far it's been working. Good luck.

My daughter sleeps in a size 6 diaper and I have tried cutting out drinks about 2 hours before bed time, since we give her 7 or 8 ozs of milk before bed. We also try to put her on the potty before and this seems to help. These few changes have helped. She sometimes wakes up a little wet but nothing compared to before.

I have noticed this with my son also. I just bought size 6 nighttime diapers over the weekend and he's still wet in the morning. We are trying to cut him off from drinking at least 2 hrs before bed since he gets an 8 oz of milk before bed. I think it happens because they sleep on there tummys most of the night.

my son wears target diapers during the day, but we switch to Huggies at night. We've found just the regular huggies work fine - I think they are "movers" diapers (not the specific overnight ones). He still leaks thru once in a while, but those seem to work for us. And I wouldn't go up a size. They won't necessarily absorb more, and they might have problems with being too loose around the legs which would just make it worse.

Good luck!

Oh, and one more thing I read a while ago. A mom was having the same problem - including needing to change the sheets. So she put the regular mattress pad and sheet on, and then another pad and sheet (and maybe a third). That way even though you still need to remove the sheet, you aren't dealing with getting a new one on every day - just take the top layers off. I haven't tried it, and I'd be a litttle worried that the sheets woudl get too loose or thick (I'm a bit paranoid about SIDS problems). But if you get tightly fitted sheets it should work I guess...

We had the same issue with our son. EVERY day I was washing his pj's! UGH! Then we discovered these wonderful pads that you can put into their diapers. We use them only at night and we buy them at Babies R Us. To be honest, they are very inexpensive (finally, something that is cheap). They look like oversized maxi pads. They are a GOD's send! We love them. AND best of all..........THEY WORK!!!

I have the same problem with my 20 month old daughter as she drinks alot during the night and I am trying to get her to only take 1 bottle at night but I never knew there was such a thing as night time diapers. Also, She maybe only has about 4 to 5 wet diapers during the day as she doesn't drink alot during the day unless we go somewhere.

Also, She wakes up/whines about 2 to 4 times a night and since my husband is gone away to work for about a month I'm hoping to get her sleeping through out the night as I think it maybe the wet diapers by 3 am that wake her up. She goes to bed between 8 and 8:30pm every night.

I had the same problem, instead of buying the night time pull ups, I bout the night time diapers from pampers.. My son has to eat yogurt every night before he goes to bed because of allergy medicine, but he also gets about 6 ounces of milk.. After he finishes it, I take him upstairs then put the night time diaper on, and before I go to bed I check just to make sure he isn't really wet already. If he is, I go ahead and change him while he is sleeping, he usually doesn't wake up and if he isn't I just make sure I check him when he first gets up.. So far so good, it happens every now and then but not every morning like it used to, and my son usually sleeps 10-12 hours through the night. I hope this helps you out.

We have been putting our little girl in Huggies Night diaper and they hold a lot! We give her a small bottle of milk before bed and her regular Pampers diaper was always soaked. So we tried the overnight diaper and its great.

Lately, I've also been changing my daughter before I go to bed (around 10pm-11pm). I just take her out of her crib and quickly change her diaper with the lights off and don't talk to her. She stays asleep and I put her back in bed, it works great.

Madelyn goes to bed at 730-8 pm and we take her cup away at 7 pm. We also buy the Huggies overnight diapers which really seem to work and hold a lot of pee! We put her in one right before we lay her down. :) Good luck!

My son was doing this a lot as well. We put him a size larger over night diapers and also cut back on his drinking about an hour or so before bed time. Plus I always change him right before I put him down to bed.

I had the same problem. My daughter goes to bed at 830pm so we give her, her bottle at 7pm and make sure to change her one last time before bed. I also found that putting fleece sleepers on her was much better than cotton and she wasn't soaked in the mornings, although depending where you live, it might be too hot for that.

I agree with the rest. Cut back on the drinks before bedtime, and change her diaper just before you put her down for the night.

I was just talking to a friend who has a son who is 23 months. He has had this problem since birth. She's tried everything. Their latest strategy has to do with the potty. He is a little older than our May babies so not sure if this will work, but I pass it on b/c she was so thrilled!...he takes a bath every night before bed. now at bath time he sits on the potty until he pees, and since they started doing this, no leaking.

This happened to my son. We tried different types of diapers, because he would wet through even if it was a brand new diaper on him. Now we use Luvs and they haven't given us any problems.

Vanessa,

This happened with my daughter and i found that decreasing the amount she drank before bedtime and the drinks she had during the night worked. i tried using the next size up in diapers as well and went through the same issue you are going thru. decreasing the amount your daughter drinks during the night may work. i was at my wits end with wet pj's at night and wet sheets.

I hope this helps
