I find it amazing that they change so quickly. At my son's last doctor apt, they gave me a form to fill out regading his development and there were a few items on the sheet that he had not accomplished, but within 24 hours the apt, he was doing two more of them.

Hi Everyone. My name is Brenda and my son Cooper was born on May 22nd. He is obessed with his feet at the moment. He's cutting teeth as well so the drooling has started too. He just figured out that when he rolls himself onto his tummy he can roll himself back to his back, which saves me from having to flip him everytime!!

Hi. I'm Laura and my son David was born May 19th. He's also obsessed with his feet these days. I can't seem to keep a pair of socks on him. He's been sitting up for a few weeks but I still have to stay right with him because he hasn't figured out that just flipping himself backwards is not a good idea. He is also making all of these great noises- squealing, shrieking, and "roaring". I'm sure that I will eventually regret encouraging these noises but for now it is just so darn cute. I've actually got a sore throat from imitating him too much yesterday.

As for tummy time, David has the same issue. I know some babies this age are already starting to crawl or at least drag themselves around on their belly but my son just gets too upset to even try. I've been trying to encourage him to spend more time on his tummy by distracting him with toys and songs etc. which works for a few minutes but isn't helping him with the mobility issue. My daughter (who is almost 13) was the same way and she started pulling up and cruising at 7 months but didn't crawl until 8 months. In fact she really only crawled as a means to get herself to a place where she could pull up into a standing position and she was walking really well by 9 months. Not sure if my son is going to do the same thing or not. For now, I'm trying to remind myself that he is still "on track" so if it takes a few a while more for him to get mobile then I need to just enjoy this time because once he is crawling and/or walking - it's exciting - but more challenging.

My little one will sit on her own and play with toys, she loves to be on her belly and scoots around, gets up on her knees and elbows and rocks back and forth, She has two teeth on the bottom and loves her toes. Tries to talk to us and shows definite emotion, happy sad mad excitement loves her walker but is too short legged to reach the floor. She is 5 months and about a week old right now.
