My 9 mo. old son wont drink any water! We've been trying in a sippy for about two months now with meals. Soft spout, hard spout- you name it, we've tried it.
I am in the process of weening from the breast to formula- so I'm worried about dehydration.. Just wondering if her will ever get used to the taste. He will suck alittle and spit it out right away because it doesn't taste good. Anyone else?
Any creative ways on how to get him to drink?

My son won't drink water from his bottle or a sippy cup. But he will drink it from MY glass or bottle of water. I have tried pouring my bottle of water into his bottle and he will just throw his bottle and refuse to drink it even if he watches me do it. He will also try to drink from a straw.

My Son wouldnt drink water either, until one of my friends told me to instead of giving him Baby Water give him normal bottled water. The truth is that baby water tastes horrible! It worked for us and now he drinks alteast 3 ozs a day

yep, diluted juice often works and at 10 months old our babies are suppose to be cup training so that might interest them. I've been told not to worry about water or juices until after they are a year old since they get enough liquid with their milk and food. I suppose it's healthier for them to be drinking the milk whenever they are thirstly.

another thing, something our pediatrician told us to do, is to put a little bit of baby juice in and then add in a few onces of water on top. That too has worked for us, to a limit. I've found that 2oz of juice to 4oz of water in the sippy has worked best and Kailey has her preferences on what kind of juice she'll do this with.

Hailey won't take water either, from bottles, sippy cups, my glass, she gets it in her mouth and spits it right out

DD wouldn't drink water from a bottle as a baby nor will she now from her sippy. However I was drinking bottled water, one with a little sports top on it, and she got ahold of it and sucked down all of my water!! IDK if it was because of the bottle type or because of the different taste of water (it was smart water..which is the best water ever IMO.) but she sucked it down like I had given her juice or formula. Hope that helps.

My daughter is the same, but i was told not to worry about it unless they seem to be getting dehydrated (less wet diapers, more concentrated yellow looking ones when they do pee, skin elasticity etc)
It is surprising how much liquids they get from their foods if you feed from any jar type as well.

Otherwise I would just suggest doing what you are doing. Maybe putting it in his own big boy glass like mommys, that might interest him if you take a sip and then offer it to him. I wouldn't worry too much though,

You can give him some kind of tee for kids! I had a same problem, than I started with HUMANA KRAUTERTEE, and now he drinks, about 150ml of water or tee..But every dr told me that's ok, because I still breastfeeding, so he can not dehydrate...
