Over the last week or so, my 14 month old son has been waking up almost every hour in the middle of the night. He starts moaning and that turns into him waking up. The problem is my husband is the only one that can get him to sleep immediately. If I go in there my son wants to be picked up and held. I think he's waking up because of his molars. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yup, it happened to my daughter and all of her friends that are the same age. My girl wakes up screaming and only orajel and tylenol will calm her down. Once all 4 molars broke through it stopped. She only did the crying for a couple of nights. Good luck!

My son is getting got his first two molars easily without us knowing but is having a hard time with his 3rd and 4th. He seems to get his top teeth no problem but has a hard time with his bottom. So around bed time I give him a half dose of infant tylenol, and when he wakes up again (about 1-2 hours after he falls asleep) I give him another half dose and baby orajel.

Oh yes! mine is the same age and he is giving me a hard time with molars. I continue breastfeeding to put my son to sleep and before he was okay. At night he's waking up every 45 minutes and he cries for me to be next to him in his bed. He has a molar already but the others seem to be out soon, because he was few days with little fever and his butt is all red and diarrea sometimes.

My 14 month old daughter slept through the night the last time when she was four months old. She's been waking up three/four times a night for the last three months at least. I've been attributing it to teething but she hasn't had a new tooth in more than three months, so I am not sure about that. Then, I think she might be hungry, but I want to keep nighttime bottles to a minimum. It's tricky!
Your son might very well be teething. And molars aren't fun as far as I've heard. You can try giving him a calcium/magnesium supplement in the evening before bedtime (there is a baby product called Baby Calm, which you can get at health food stores). The Calcium helps with teething and pain and the magnesium calms the body.

He might have an ear infection, due to the teething, with the pressure it can do that. My daughter is teeting and she has an infection and i am the only one she will let hold her.
