Has anybody lost all of their baby weight yet and if so how? I'm really struggling with it.

I have 3 children. With my first, I gained 45 pounds... lost 40 before my next pregnancy. Then, I gained 40 pounds, and I lost 35. Then, I gained 35 pounds, and so far, I've only lost 25... not a good trend. I held on to 5 pounds with the first pregnancy... 5 more pounds with the 2nd pregnancy... and 10 pounds (so far) with the third pregnancy. We have been walking (to the park, library, church, preschool, and friend's hosue), and it seems that a pound will fall off here and there... so, I guess I'm making progress. The weather is getting colder, so we'll have to see what happens with the walking. I do have a pretty nice treadmill, but it's hard to get motivated to walk in the house staring at the same wall. I am breastfeeding as well... and, it's hard to change your diet too much when your'e breastfeeding.

Gained 50 with my son-- lost 40. Gained 40 with my daughter-- lost 30, so far. I really hope that I won't hold on to 10lbs with each additional child!!! BUT, I seem to be stuck at 120 lbs no matter what now. Ugh!

Quoting Melonie:

Im having a hard time with it to. I havent lost any of it. I gained 60 lbs. I went from a sz 8 to a sz 20 and its driving me crazy. I dont eat junk food. My husband cooks nothing but healthy food but I have yet to lose any of the weight. Ive bought a new work out DVD that I am going to start doing. Its from one of the trainers from the biggest loser ( I dont know if youve heard of the show). Its 20 mins a day and your suppose to lose 20 lbs in 30days, so we will see. Now Ive just got to make time to do it :)

Haha, my story is very similar! 60 lbs here too (although I tell my husband it's 80 because I don't want him to know how big I already was when I got pregnant lol). I feel like I eat waaaay less and way healthier than before I even got pregnant and my weight is pretty stagnant. Ugh. Luckily for me, I lost 30 of the 60 within a week of having my little girl. Are you doing the Jillian Michaels workout? The 30 Day Burn? I did it for a while and loved it but it got discouraging because as I was burning the fat, the muscle was packing on and my weight stayed the same.

I haven't lost the "weight" but all of my prepregnancy clothes fit and don't look too bad. I had lost 20lbs right before I got pregnant so I have about 10 more lbs to go to get there! good luck to you. try not to get discouraged. this is my 3rd baby and this is the fastest i lost the weight. it took 2 years with my last one!

I really can't breastfeed I never made milk but even if I had I wouldn't had been able to my baby's blood type is different from mine and they told me that if I breastfeed her chance of getting jondasce or however you spell it would have been higher they tested her for three days making sure she didn't have jondace. But I have been walking and eating smaller portions and a lot healthier than I use. I was overweight before but now it is bad. I feel so self conscious. I am working on getting a wii fit. Thank all of y'all for answering if you think of anything else please help!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to a doctors appointment when my daughter was 2 months old and I had lost all my baby weight, but I still don't fit into all of my clothes. So I am having a hard time losing more weight now but i used to have no problems with that before, my body different now, so we are trying to go on walks regularly but colder weather is fast approaching so i don't want her out in that as much, she is 4 months old now. I think I am going to try to get a video

I lost quite a bit by the 2nd week but I was about 30 pounds overweight to begin with...I bought a WII fit. I heard that it does really good and is fun..I did 5 leg lunges on both sides and didnt get back on it for 5 days! I could barely walk after!!! It wasnt so much the lunges I think but the balance. Also I am taking in smaller portions and trying to cut junk out...My daughter hasnt been a great nurser and enjoys the bottle...she quit on me so now is formula fed. So I can now really get down to business cutting carbs.

Breastfeeding will do wonders! My daughter is 4 months old and that's all I've done really but I did get out and start walking about 30-60 minutes a day the day I got home with her so I'm sure that has helped! I have 2 lbs to go but I'm not all that concerned about the number on the scale as much as I'm concerned with my shape! You just don't look the same after having a baby (second one for me). I'm planning to head to the gym and hire a trainer as I know I won't push myself out of my comfort zone on my own. Best of luck to you all!

My doctor told me that some of us breastfeeding moms are unlucky enough to keep the weight on until we're done breastfeeding. I gained a lot of weight while I was pregnant, and I still have about 50 lbs to lose, so I know your pain. But I've been using weights and a dance exercise video that I found at Walmart, and those have both helped me lose some weight.

I have been lucky. I am actually 10lbs lighter than pre-pregnancy, but the same size in clothing. Which means I probably lost a good amount of muscle and replaced it with fat! :( So, While I don't need to lose the weight, I am having a hard time getting back in shape!

I'm breastfeeding as well... but I'm gaining weight instead of losing!! I don't eat unhealthy either. I'm getting soooooooooo frustrated.

I don't think that the odd 'treat' a couple times a week should be causing me to gain. lol. With 2 kids (almost 3 years old and 4 months old) I think it's more me not eating at the proper intervals......

I had a c-section too. I lost 24 lbs from the last weigh-in at docs office while pregnant to my 6 week appt..... but since then, it's gotten worse and worse!

I still have 10 pounds to lose and I gained 30, I think. I can't seem to get it off. I had a c-section and have heard that it's harder that way, I have friends that say the same.

Breastfeeding!! I gained 50 lbs during this pregnancy. My son is 4 months old now and I have lost all but 6 lbs of the baby weight. I'm sure I will have to really start watching my diet after I wean him.

I have about 5 more pounds to lose and it is driving me crazy! I started going to the gym twice a day for an hour thinking that might help. However, my body just seems to be different now! :(

Melonie- you will have to tell me what you think about the video!

I gained 40 pounds with my second pregnancy, i lost all but 4 pounds when my daughter was 3 months, shes now 4 months, and i cant seem to lose the rest, i would like to loose at least 10 more pounds....Ive been just eating healthy, and smaller portions, and i have a 2 year old to run around after, so i get my exercise there..lol.....If there is one unhealthy thing you eat or drink such as pop, pasta, or sweets, just totally cut that out of your diet and you can pretty much be guaranteed to loose weight, unless you substitute it with another unhealthy item..hope this helps, good luck! =)

I was incredibly lucky, I lost my baby weight within the first week (I also got quite sick)... I found that b/c I brestfeed my son, my body has used a lot of the excess weight to create the milk.... and as I don't have my licence yet, we walk EVERYWHERE and our pram is 14kgs but still easy to push. My mums group also does things like walks around the town, trips to the zoo etc, where we walk heaps and a lot of us have noticed the difference. Allso, I eat small meals, more frequently, that are good for you but low fat, and drink litres of water! but thats more to help with breastfeeding..

Do you still take your prenatal vitamins? I found that still taking them helped me cope better with sleep deprivation meaning I had more energy... My son is 4mo and I'm actually smaller now than what I was before I fell pregnant.

I have been struggling with it as well. I lost a big chunk of it all within the first 2 weeks after birth but since then it doesn't seem to matter if I diet and work out or if i sit around eating crap. I weigh the same amount. I am back on a diet again but very discouraged.
