They can eat most things adults can. No cows milk, peanut butter or honey. My 8 month old loves over cooked plain macaroni noodles and mashed potatoes( just potato nothing added to them). Any canned veggies (frozens better) rinse before cooking to remove salt from them. I do small amounts of meat in the food processor and she loves them. Just watch the salt content. Check with your pediatrition as well they can give you ideas as well.

I've made baby food in the blender for all 3 of my kids. It's so much cheaper! Honestly, I just put a couple of servings of our leftovers from dinner in the blender. I add as much water as I need to by eyeballing it. Then I put it in ice cube trays. When I serve it, I add rice cereal or oatmeal for desired consistency. We don't eat much spicy food b/c of my other kids, so our meals are okay. I just did leftover chkn and rice soup in there.

I don't really use blender anymore, my baby LOVES fish pie (any white fish and salmon etc. with white sauce and mashed potatoes and grated cheddar cheese on the top)
and roast dinner wthout gravy with all the trimmings, and pasta/rice with cheese sauce/ tomato sauce.
i do use blender to mix fruits, like blackberries and strawberries etc. and i put it in the ice tray then freeze it, then i mix it with her breakfast porridge or yogurt with her snack.
today, I put strawberries and a banana and Fromage frais, into the blender for her snack. she loved it.
