anyone else feeling sick from pregnancy?

hey there i cant eat anything or drink cause every time i do i just fell nausea and every time i fink im going to vomit i cnt.im on my 2nd pregnancy is that normal my 1st pregnancy was good no sickness at all

Well here I am 17 weeks along and on medication. It's a miracle!! It's called Promethazine PLO and it's in an ointment form that you rub on your wrists for morning sickness or as I have all day sickness. It is absorbed through the skin into the blood stream which is good for those who can't keep anything down. I do it every four hours and I feel so much better. Of course now that the morning sickness is under control here comes the back pain, oh well, at least i don't gag at everything now...lol

i too am massive already and i am only 16 weeks!!bit different from the last as my bump was so compact with my daughter,and even though i have lost weight,my bump is every where!pretty sure its a boy!!!although this time round,my sac has an extreme amount of water compared to my first,so im sure that has helped me to expand!!!!

hi allison,i suffered from sickness throughout with my first pregnancy,this time round,im not that sick,only sometimes but have extreme tiredness which doesnt seem to be getting better!!!!sam x

I feel your pain. It came on me like some sort of virus or flu (I teach so I had no clue). This is also our first child so I didnt even think I could have been pregnant. I called the doc and they prescribed the phenergen for me, but it did NOT help at all! For the first week or so I was home from work in the bathroom every 30 minutes and couldnt kick it. We finally took a pregnancy test and sure enough... positive. I felt awful until about 2 or 3 weeks ago (my 17th week). It still comes and goes on occassion but I have managed to fight it off by eating constantly. I snack all day in between meals and always have peppermints or some sort of hard candy to suck on just to keep my taste buds busy.

I had about 5-6 bad weeks, but I've started to feel a little bit better. I spent about 2 weeks on Protonix and about 4 days on Zofran when I figured out that the side effects from them were worse than eating ALL the time to feel okay. I pretty much eat about 12 bowls of cereal a day... good thing I have a bit of a variety. This is my third pregnancy, and I think chasing 2 toddlers (almost 3 years old and 20 months old) is part of what is making it a bit worse than the other two. I usually start feeling better about 20 weeks, though I still get to eat regularly until the very end. I love the birthday of the baby, because I instantly feel better once the baby joins us on the "outside". It is definitely worth it, but I keep wishing my husband was able to grow the baby... just for a little while!

Hi everyone, Im pregnant with #2 and Ill be 15 weeks tomorrow. Ive had an awful time with the "morning" sickness this time around, its been so bad that Ive lost 10 pounds and made 2 trips to the hospital, the last for 3 days. My DR had me on both Zofran and Reglan but it only helped for a while. I seem to be getting better but I still have those bad days though. Hopefully it will let up soon!

I am pregnant with #4 and have been surprised that the nausea seems worse than the others. Maybe it's because I'm preoccupied and don't take of my needs (eating, sleeping) as well as I did before...

I just joined this group and this is my 3rd baby. I am 14 weeks along. I thought I was coming to an end with this non-stop nausea but apparently not. It is getting a little better though. I had 3 good days in a row last week which I think I was much to excited about because I over did it and am sick all over agian. Thankfully I have Reglan to take the edge off and naps helped today too. But in the end it is all worth it when I have a beautiful healthy baby in my arms to take of.

I am 14 weeks pregnant with my first. I am in the small and lucky group that didn't get very sick. I'm still a little tired, but that's getting better also. I hope future pregnancies go this well :)

I'm 15 weeks into my second pregnancy and have been experiencing all day "morning" sickness since week 3. Sometimes my 2 year old will narrate what is happening in the bathroom by telling the cat, "Mommy sicky!" My OBGYN (and all the books) say that everything is more intense the second time around but what is really strange is that I'm getting Braxton Hicks contractions already (even though I didn't really feel them in the first pregnancy.)

Chin up, ladies! It will be worth it by the spring, right?

They call it morning sickness but for me it last ALL day! and it just gets worse as the day goes on. I am much sicker than with my first. I am taking Reglan which only helps a little, and unisom in the evening which seems to help. I hope this will end soon!

This is my fourth pregnancy and definitly feeling pretty awful most of the time. I have no energy at all and feel sick alot. all of my other pregnancies were great, all boys, so I'm hoping this one is a girl. No matter what though, it is always worth it in the end.

Hi! I'm new on here. I'm 13 weeks along right with my first. I was really sick for about 3 weeks - never threw up, but was pretty non-functional, and have been better since around week 10. But there are still days that are not happy, like today! I just keep wishing I could take time off from being pregnant, you know, like taking time off from work!

This is too my second pregnancy, my little guy is only 7 months old now...so it came as huge news to us!! But...everything has felt soooo much worse this time around, nausea, fatigue, heartburn, you name it! I didn't start having heart burn until at least month 4 or 5 last time and it is awful already. I think I know the reason for being extra tired but as for the rest...who knows!

Hello!! I am new to this group! This is my first pregnancy and I'm due in May! I had horrible morning sickness...UNTIL...I bought the "sea bands". They are amazing. I only take them off at night and in the shower. They are like acupuncture bands. And it very well may be all in my head but who cares because it works!! I highly reccomend them and they are only $10 at walgreens!

Oh my gosh, I feel ya sister! This is my second pregnancy too and I keep looking at my calender like isn't my first trimester over?! I haven't been able to look at meat and sometimes when I do (like raw chicken) I'm sick for the rest of the night. I'm exhausted too, I remember being tired with my first but I was still working and with this pregnancy I'm a SAHM and so glad to be able to nap twice a day if I need. We're almost through it!



I am showing a little, I had some left over "pooch" from my first and I can't suck it in anymore and I generally wear tighter clothes so people have been saying "Awww...your little baby tummy" so apparently I am showing :) I remember with my first feeling like I wanted everyone to know I was pregnant and I'd stick out my tummy, this time I'm almost trying to hide it because I feel like its too early to be showing. I haven't really gained any weight yet but its getting less comfortable to sleep on my tummy.

This is my 2nd pregnancy & I have not yet had morning sickness but sometimes I feel nausea during the afternoon or evening hours. The worst is having ZERO energy. Also I feel way bigger than I was at this time in my 1st pregnancy. Before I even found out I was pg I noticed my waste getting bigger & I was freaking out thinking I need to do some serious dieting.

Phenergan is amazing and safe- when I am feeling particularly pukey, it works wonders. And if, God forbid, you have to take a stronger painkiller for whatever reason, it's safe to take with them. That's how I found out I was pregnant this time- I was up with kidney pain for an entire night, and had taken percocet and phenergan, and the next day I randomly decided to take a test, just to be safe, and surprise! it was positive! lol The down side to Phenergan (*or the upside, if it's your first and you're not working) is that it makes you very sleepy...so I try not to take it unless I can't keep anything down...at least it avoids a trip to the E.R. that way! :)

Hi I am new to this group. I am pregnant with my first full term baby (3 m/c's up to this point). I have been very sick. When I went to the maternal fetal specialist last week, she put me on phenegran (sp?) to help. I will be 12 weeks next Wed (11/5) and am hoping and praying that the morning (afternoon and evening) sickness will start to diminish.

Just went to my forst appointment today. The Doctor says you do feel more of everything the second time. More tied. More morning sickness. Anyone showing yet? I just have a slight pouch nothing much yet. Could be leftovers from the first pregnancy..lol

Same! I am 13 weeks now and it's kind of going away, but it was way worse than last time. And definately extra tired having to work 9 hours a day and take care of a 3 year old. All that matters it that you get through it for the greatest reward in the end!

I, too, am having a much more difficult time with this pregnancy. More nausea & I am exhausted--today I slept for two straight hours during naptime. Thankfully, the first trimester is almost over & we should all be feeling awesome again!!

Same with me- second pregnancy, LOTS of morning sickness, and I think I'm a lot more tired this time, too...but maybe that's because I'm chasing around a toddler this time, too??? I also think God has a sense of humor and makes us forget the "joys" of pregnancy just long enough to decide to have another one! lol
