Hi, we're soon going to be taking our daughter on her first flight and it's going to be long --- Delhi to San Francisco via London. Anything I need to keep in mind please? I've heard horror stories about babies and flying.

thanks

Thank you! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. Someone told me to give her a bottle during take-offs and landings, as she'll be swallowing then, it's unlikely that her ears will hurt or that there'll be any build-up of pressure/a blockage.

my little one has now been on 4 flights, but none were longer than 3 hours. i would just say, for your own sanity, go into the flight expecting the worst, and you will be relieved when it goes better than expected. of the 4 flights we've been on, 2 were COMPLETELY without incident...not a peep out of her. and then 1 had bout of crying on takeoff, 1 on landing. further than keeping her occupied and comfy to sleep, during the flight itself it was as if we were on land...i am not sure what to say for your long flight...that's a long time for anyone to be flying!! good luck and hopefully your little one is as great of a traveller as mine!!
