Baby's movements

Sometimes I feel regular rhythmical little bumps that stop after a while. Is this anything to be worried about, or just baby's hiccups? I get normal movements too, the usual rolls, nudges and kicks, but for some reason I find these a bit worrying.

Yep, sounds like our babies enjoy the same torture methods! Just as I have lain down to sleep Bumpy kicks off royally, stretching and shifting around all the time. At first it was cute, small movements, but as time goes on it is more and more uncomfortable!
I would definitely do it again though, :-D

Oh, in the pelvis, my god my first would sleep with his head in my right hip, and it felt SOO weird to have him hiccup right there (also hurt because his skull would rub against my pelvic bone).  :)  Mine keeps kicking the crud out of my right ribcage this time....so his head is in my left pelvic area, though he's higher than my first.  :)

My little guy likes to develop hiccups during our NSTs so Mommy has to stay hitched up to the monitors extra long waiting for them to pass so the nurse can get a good strip on his heartrate LOL Cute the first time, not so cute each subsequent time, especially when I have the impatient toddler with me :p

Don't worry at all, it is just hiccups.  It feels really weird especially when they are turned head down!  It was funny when he was laying sideways and I would feel them on the side of my pelvis.  This time its not as bad as with my first.  With him I would have trouble sleeping.  Hiccups are a good sign too because its all part of regular development.  :)

Thanks girls- you put my mind at rest! They tended to be on the side of my pelvis too, so I am guessing Bumpy was head down, and a bit sideways! Seems to like being diagonal at the moment, as I get hard jabs in my side I am guessing are feet! Anyone else wish we could have a portable ultrasound at home??! I would love to see what is going on in there. :-D

Exactly!!!! I was thinking they needed to make one that hooked to a tv!!!!

It's hiccups!  Don't be too concerned.  Do you know the position of the baby?  Mine was head-down but then decided to flip herself sideways, which was confirmed today by ultrasound...I knew she had moved, because the position of the hiccups changed! lol  Little booger!  It's absolutely nothing to worry about.  If you're lucky, it'll happen when you're at the Dr's office- when they checked her heart tones last week, she had the hiccups!  It was really cute to hear amplified like that, and I told my husband "See, told you so!"- because he never believed me when I said she had the hiccups!  I can't think of anything else that would give you that same feeling- so I'd say relax, and if it still really bothers you, ask your doc at the next visit! :)  Good luck!

When she's head down would they be in the lower abdomen region? really close to the pelvic area

just to clarify- I don't find the normal movements worrying, just the regular rhythmical ones!
