its my sons first birthday on the 22nd of May and i have my family and friends comming over to celebrate. Some of my family and friends have children too but I have no idea what sort of food i should make that is suitable for children and adults??

My little girls birthday is also the 22nd. We are having a cookout with hamburgers/hotdogs. We are also grilling corn and potatoes. Making a veggie tray and of course all the fixin's including chips, salad etc. Of course we are having cake and ice cream!

We're doing finger foods: meat and cheeses, fresh fruit, meatballs, and of course the cake and ice cream. I'm excited though, we're doing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme, and we even got a Mickey Head pull string pinata. :)

You'd be surprised what a 1 yr old can eat. I'd say go for hot dogs, (you can peel the skin off and let him eat it himself) party wings ( cut it in pieces and he'll be able to eat it) potatoe salad (careful with the potatoe lumps) maccaroni salad, beans, soft rolls, burgers for the adults (Kinda tough for a baby) devil eggs,cheese curls(my son loves them. ) its alot that you can prepare that both kids and adults can enjoy and of course cake and ice cream

we just had my sons 1 birthday party this past weekend i did sloppy joes, pork and beans,posta salad, macaroni salad and potato salad and chips it turned out great

i'm doing a cook out at the lake where i live, and we are going to have hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and for the birthday cake i'm doing cupcakes!

We're having my daughter's party in the afternoon, so we're only having cake and ice cream during her party. But, for dinner that night, when the out-of-town guests are still around, we plan to order pizza.

At our son's party everyone pitched in. There was meatballs, chicken, macaroni salad, taco salad, broccoli salad, and fruit salad, and of course cake and ice cream! but we did something different, we got chocolate and vanilla ice cream, and got cherries, nuts, sprinkles, chocolate/caramel/strawberry syrup, and root beer for the ultimate decorate your own ice cream experience! It was a blast!

At landen's party we had hotdogs and bbq chicken. suprisingly my son wanted the chicken.
