Biting while Nursing ... HELP!

My little girl (born 5/12) has her first bottom tooth and I think another one coming. She has started biting me when she nurses and whenever I unlatch her after a bite and tell her no, she starts crying and gets really upset. I love nursing her and I don't to stop, but now I dread it b/c I'm scared of getting bit again. The other night she bit me twice and cut me wide open. Now I cannot feed her from one side and even when I pump, the milk is bloody so I have to throw it out. I don't know how I'm going to heal when I irritate it every 3 hours pumping. She's doing fine on a bottle but she won't take formula. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did you do?

Thanks!
Rebecca

My LO did bite a few times. Of course there is always a very loud OUCH! because of how bad it hurts. I would tell him "no" firmly and put him down. He did cry. Then after a few seconds I would pick him up again. Nursing would also be done at that point. I was scared to nurse again also after the biting, but he has stopped. He never bit hard enough to draw blood though! HTH
