the black line thing never came for me with my daughter....not at all!  I am very fair-skinned, too, so it would definitely be noticable!  Don't worry about it, that's for sure.  Everyone is different.  As for stretch marks, I already have some of those again, and I've noticed the ones from when I had my daughter have begun to show more again, too.  My belly button never popped when I was pregnant the first time, but I only made it to 35 weeks, so it's possible it would have happened at the end.  Everybody's different, and count your blessings if you body remains semi-normal looking!  lol :)

No line yet here... I was actually wondering that myself. Stretch marks came in the last week of my pregnancy with my son, and my belly button never popped.

I am at 27.5 weeks and the belly button hasnt popped yet but its getting kinda shallow.  A friend of mine from work suggested I try the Aveena lotion (the purple one-lavender I think).  SHe used it for both of her kiddos and had no stretch marks.  I have been using it religiously...basically basting my belly. :)  I have no dark line or stretch marks yet.  I will say that all the tan lines that I had from last summer are officially gone and my belly is so pale!

Well, I have the dark line & popped belly button, but thank the Lord, I don't have stretch marks yet. I am counting on my good genes to save me. My mom had three children & never got 1 stretch mark!

everyone is different, with my daughter i didnt see that black line until i was almost 8 months...with my son now i seen the line last month...stretch marks i guess i was blessed cause i didnt get them my first pregnancy and with this one like i did before i'm using cocoa butter and belly butter.

My black line definitely got more defined around 24-25 weeks. I'm 26 weeks today and my belly button looks like it's going to pop any second now!

As for stretch marks, none yet-- fingers crossed!

Not everyone gets the dark line...it just depends.  My friend got one, but so far I haven't.  So far I haven't had stretch marks either, but I know they could still appear because I'm only 27 weeks.  My belly button is very shallow and it might pop out, not sure yet.

No linea nigra here either. While I am not showing the pigment changes on my belly, I *am* showing it a bit on my face. They are like big freckles around my cheek bone area... I, too, am fair skinned. Don't know how much that contributes.

I don't have the "zipper" line yet either. I don't mind not getting it at all! As far as stretch marks go... my last 2 pregnancies I got them in the last 2 months, right when I thought I was going to escape. The 1st I didn't get any on my stomach, just everything else. The 2nd I started to feel itchy and tight around my baby bump so I was really good about applying lotion every day and I only got a few really tiny ones on my stomach. Cocoa butter makes you smell like a Hawaiian hooker, but it works! My belly button is already popping out a little, but this is my third so everything falls into place kinda quickly.

Linea negra doesn't show up on all women, and neither do stetch marks and a popped belly button.  My husband says he can see a faint line on my belly but I can't see it myself.  I have stretch marks from my first preg, and if you don't get them count yourself very lucky!  They are usually hereditary so if your mom got them you probably will too, and if she didn't you're in luck.  My belly button never "popped" with my first, and I doubt it will this time.  As I told my husband the first time, its not like turkey timer!  :)

Thanks for sharing! As for strech marks i dont know if its genetics or not, but I slather Pure Apricot Kernel Oil (from Whole foods,$5) on everyday, sometimes multiple times. Its a natural skin care oil and I am willing to do whatever I can to help my skin stretch!!
