I was just curious as to know if your child puts everything he/she touches into his/her mouth. My son is 7 months old and crawling and into everything and he eats PAPER. He puts everything into his mouth and eats it. I don't know how to keep him from doing it b/c I think that most babies do it. I just wanna know what you do to keep them from putting things in their mouth. And if your child does it too

Well he has 6 teeth already and I think that he is getting the other 2 on the bottom, but he has been doing this for like EVER!! I know that they learn by touching smelling and doing things but man eating paper?? I have to chase him around the house to watch and make sure he does not eat it....LOL and this Christmas wrapping gifts was a nightmare cuz I would have to watch him and wrap the gifts at the same time....lol

Your baby may be teething. I know mine is and he does the same thing, even eats trys to eat paper when he sees it, but I take away anything that isn't a toy that belongs to him. He doen't always like that but if he's really upset about it, I give hin a teething cracker, a piece of celerly, or a toy.

its totally normal my son who is now 2 if you didn't watch him would eat ants thank goodness he is not allergic, and you could try to keep every thing out of his reach but, you might as well put them in a cage. they are going to put things in thier mouths, thats part of how they learn, you just keep the things that could hurt him out of reach. paper wont, and neither do ants! lol!!

Yes, I have a paper eater too. :) I swear she can find the tiniest bits of paper to put in her mouth. Especially after the holiday, I keep finding her with a clothing tag in her mouth. All I know to do is baby gate her in and keep everything that's not a toy away from her... but with a big brother it's a hard task.

My baby puts everything in his mouth and has eaten paper too. He got a hold of a paper origami star my sister in law made and he had it in peieces. He was chewing on all the pieces and eating it!! I ended up taking it away and keeping the rest of the origami out of his reach.

MY BABY PUTS EVERYTHING IN HER MOUTH TOO! DOESN'T REALLY EAT PAPER THOUGH, I'M SURE SHE WOULD IF I LET HER. ITS NORMAL, DOES YOUR SON HAVE ANY TEETH YET?
