I've been using garlic drops from a chiropractor, but I think he's getting immune to it. I've been putting them in his ear every night for the last month. He started another ear infection yesterday. Help!!!

Little ones ears are sensitive! I use lots of natural remedies but if its an internal infection and could be painful for your child dont hesitate go to a good doctor.

Take your baby to an ENT or at least a pediatrician. The best drop I've ever found for ear infections is called Tobradex. It's an eye drop that works well on inner ear infections. Many infections of the ear are caused by water (swimmer's ear). Tobradex has a very mild steroid that reduces the inflammation and swelling. Old wives' tales about gardlic drops, mineral oil, warm smoke all just put MORE contaminants in the ear.

Breast milk for God's sake? C'mon. This is the 21st century.

If you breastfeed you can put breastmilk in his ears because breastmilk has anti-bacterial and healing properties.

I know this is going to sound HORRIBLE but my grandmother started this when I was a baby and the family uses it regularly.....blow smoke in their ears! We are NOT a smoking family but have a few cigarettes or a cigar (which works better) on hand at all times! We have three children the oldest being 7 years old who had tubes by 6 months! He has not had another ear infection since we started this old tradition from my family and the twin girls haven't had one yet!!!
