How do I night-time potty train?

I have my 2 1/2 year old son fully potty trained throughout the day, and even at nap time, but can't seem to get this nighttime training down. I honestly don't know where to start. He stays dry for his 2-3 hour naps, but always wakes up in the morning with a wet diaper, even when we cut drinks early in the night. Any tips on how to do this? Or is this something he will learn on his own eventually?

wear him a pull ups and in the meantime wake him up for potty twice at night untill he start waking you up when he wants to go pee. it works with my little Hope and i started training her potty when she was about 2 years. good luck!

I never really night trained either of my kids. I just kept putting a pull up on them and only stopped when I noticed that they hadn't had a wet pull up for a period of 3 weeks or so. It will come naturally. It's not something you can really train them to do.

My son's pediatrician told us that it's not really a concern until children (boys especially) are 10 years old. My son was completely day-time potty trained by the time he was 2, but at 4.5 years old he still sleeps in a pull-up. We don't make a big deal about it.

One thing you could try is to let him sleep in underwear for a few nights to see when he's peeing. My son wets his bed in the middle of the night, but sleeps right through it. So if he's not in a pull-up, he'll still sleep all night, but just wakes up smelling like pee. We decided based on a few "tries" that he just sleeps so soundly that he doesn't wake up when he pees. I feel no need to disrupt his sleep, so the pull-up (for now) is our solution.

Good luck!
