How many teeth should a 10 month old have?

My daughter is now 10 months old, but still only has 4 teeth. There are 2 on the top, and 2 on the bottom, all on front. My niece who is just about 2 months older has a lot more teeth, and if I remember correctly... she had about 6-8 teeth when she was my daughter's age. Should I be worried that she hasn't cut anymore teeth yet?

My daughter is 10 months old and she has 16 teeth. There are 4 on the top, and 4 on the bottom. 2 at the back on each side and 2 on the top back at each side. She cut her first 2 teeth at 4 months old and ever since then she is teething 4 to 6 teeth at a time. If anyone would like tips on teething, I am more then happy to help.

Gerald started teething when he was 3 months old and popped his first tooth, end of November when he was 6 months old, his second end of December, end of January all four top front teeth came through and nothing since... I found something that helps pop those teeth through, Get a carrot (the long ones, not carrot sicks) and refrigerate them... when the baby gets fussy... give them one. They can't choke, it's healthy for them, and it's cold and hard and it makes their gums feel a lot better.

My son was born on the 22nd may 2009 and the way i see it is he only has 4 teeth (two bottom two top) nd the top two have only just come through but at the same time he is developing in other areas so you never know your child may just be focusing on some other area. My little boy is standing and almost walking and talking so dont worry just enjoy watching them grow up :)

My son is 10.5 months old and only has his two bottom teeth. I'm not too worried because my older son was the same way. By the time he turned 1 he only had his two bottom teeth. Now he's 4 and has perfectly straight and healthy teeth. Every child is different so don't let it bother you too much. Hope this helped =)

my daughter is 10 months and has all her front teeth 4 on top 3 on bottom ( + 1 removed at 3 days old ) and startin to get the back ones which i personaly think is early due to the fact she was born with a tooth but my step son is only 9 months and still only has 2 teeth at the bottom ! there is no need to worry as teethin doesnt have milestones and happens when the child is ready

Don't worry about it, my son was born the 18th of May, so coming up eleven months but he still has NO teeth yet. They are there but they haven't quite broken through the gum yet. Least your daughter has some. She'll be fine.

My daughter's birthday is May 25, and she has 5 teeth, with a 6th one about to come. Her sisters didn't get their first teeth until they were around a year. But they were preemies. I've learned to just accept each step as it comes.

My daughter will be 11 months on the 17th and she only has 1 tooth and is just starting to get another. All babies are different. For example she has been walking since she was 9 1/2 months old and some babies dont walk until well after they are 1.

NO! not at all my 11 month old Taylor has the same teeth that your daughter does 4 2 top 2 bottom and both of her sisters had all their teeth by her age except their 2yr old molars. so dont worry they will come when they are ready. Its totally just depending on their body. It doesnt mean they are behind or are going to be behind in other things! it is fine their body will decide when they are ready, sooo... just enjoy the cute toothless baby stage for a while they are soo cute with those teeth only and it wont be there forever so enjoy it.

My daughter was born on May 20th (4 weeks early) and doesn't have a single tooth. I am not concerned because her pediatrician told us that it is common for a child to not get a tooth before their 1st birthday. And I, like most who commented, have also heard that the later the teeth come in, the less problems they'll have with them later on.

Not at all, all kids get and lose their teeth at dif ages. My 1st did not get her 1st tooth until almost 8mo my 2nd got her 1st 2 at the same time the day she turned 6mo and the other bottom 2 at the same time the day she turned 8mo, she is 10mo now and is getting her 5th and 6th on the bottom, but my nieces baby who is 9 days younger than my baby has not got 1 tooth yet. They are all dif no need to worry.

My 10 month old only has his two bottom teeth. I don't think it is anything to worry about. All four of my older children got their teeth rather "late" compared to my other friends' children. However, around 11-12 months, they all came through at the same time.

I am a dental hygienist... every child is going to be different, but it sounds like she is on track. My son is the same age and has the same teeth. The next ones should start within the next month or so...but again, she could be earlier, or later than "normal". No worries, they will come when ready!!! Just be sure that you are brushing them before bed!!! You don't want her to get baby bottle tooth decay! Ick!!!

My son was born 5/12 and has not a single tooth. My daughter (who is now about to turn 7yrs) didn't get her 1st tooth until she was 19 months. The pediatrician told me to expect the same with my son. He doesn't seem to be concerned and I'm not as worried this time around since my daughter was late getting teeth.

Best of luck to you and when the rest of them come in that precious smile youve come to love will change..so just sit back and take it all in.

My daughter was born May 8 and was 5 weeks early and she just now as a tooth making its appearance. You can barely see it. I've heard the longer it takes for them to get them in the better their teeth will be.
