Based on what I read every 4 hours is the norm for most babies 8 months (but that doesn't include nighttime because between 6-9 months most babies can be weaned from the night feeding). For my baby, he had acid reflux so he didn't drink much at each sitting so I actually probably fed him about every 2-3 hours during the day or he wasn't able to drink enough for the day.

If you are bottle feeding generally by 8 months most babies have 3-4 bottles a day (approximately 8 ounces per bottle). Although, my son had probably about 6 bottles with 3-4 ounces in each since he wouldn't drink very much at a time.

Also, my baby slept great until he was 6 months and then from 6months - 10 1/2 months he would wake 1-3 times in the middle of the night. For my baby I did continue giving him the night feeding when he needed it which meant I was feeding him about every 4-6 hours at night.

Don't forget to check with your baby's doctor.

Good luck.

I'm not sure how often they are suppose to be eating at this age, but my guy, whose 9 months today, eats 4 times a day, morning, after his first nap, after his second nap and before bed. He also gets solids 3 times a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
