Is anyone else getting excited about our first birthday?? What will be your theme?

Iam super excited, my first and only (for right now) baby bot will be 1 May 12. Im doing Elmo Theme. My daddy has a huge back yard plus its nice n quiet. i invited family n friends they have kids ranging from ages 3 to 6. So Im getting a kiddie pool not to small but not to shallow.Because its hot in Texas. My baby is a happy baby so when i say to him, Shayne birthday is coming up he claps :) Me and my husband is super excited!

Im SOO Excited!! Im not to sure on a theme. I was just thinking on having the immediate families over, having a bbq, and letting my son dig into a totally awesome chocolate cake! hehehe. Im super excited though! I honestly cannot beleive its been almost a year, WHERE DID THE TIME GO!! Wherever it went I want it back! :)

I can't wait until my daughters 1st birthday. We are not going to go all out for it because it is only her first birthday and it is not like she will remember. So we are going to have a bbq with friends and family to celebrate. Hope we have good weather:)

haha.. yeah i am. i got a lot of the stuff for it. we are having a micky mouse theme.. its the only one that wal mart had.. but he wont watch tv..

We are just doing something small like a few others have said cause she wont remember it and I would rather save the money for next year when she knows whats going on. Just having some family over and cooking out. I plan on making her a hot pink smash cake and just doing whatever she wants that day:)

im very excited lol i am doing a baby sesame street theme for my son getting all the party stuff from ebay there is this great store on there that has everything from invites hats plates banners etc etc its great i cant wait lol

I was thinking the same thing Nadine a "First Birthday Boy" theme!! I plan to blow up pictures of all his firsts. I am not planning big hollabaloo, just me, him and his dad and a couple of cupcakes. I am gonna do the big shebang for his second year. This year my husband and i are celebrating surviving the first year!! lol May 5th here we come!!

We're planning a "First Birthday Boy" theme...I did the same for a girl for my daugher's bday....I say....you can only do this theme on their 1st bday all other themes can be done at 2 or 3 etc when the child understands more....along with the theme....balloons and banners all with the 1....a big 1 cake...cupcakes with small 1's as decorations...pictures of him during the first year...up all around as decor....this is my speciality...I LOVE BIRTHDAY PARTIES...planning them anyway!!! Good luck...

I am also very excited. I think are going to do a barnyard or a zoo theme. I love animals and so does my son. But we where thinking Winnie the Pooh but I think that alot of people do that for the first birthday.

Im just doing the baby boy first birthday thing. My son isn't really "into" anything right now so i don't see the point of wasting money on expensive character things when hes not going to remember it anyways!!!

Yea I actually sat down 2 weeks ago and started organizing everything. I already have the guest list, their addresses, the theme picked out, and idea of where we're going to throw it, and so much to do. We're doing a frog themed birthday cause my daughter is obsessed with frogs. So I'm going to hand make all the invitations, make custom t-shirts for family members, and custom make the birthday banner. So it may only be 2 months away but I work, am getting ready to go back to school, and have my 1st child's 1st birthday! I'm so excited for it though!

I am so excited. almost gave myself an anxiety attack the other night planning it, only to realize I still have 2 whole months. I think my boyfriend/babys father will have to pick a theme. My mind is still going in a million directions on what to do. But we are having 2 parties, one in my hometown where all my family is and one in Vancouver (where I live) with our friends.
