My son was born May 17th and is getting very close to walking. He is cruising along furniture and standing unassisted for a few seconds here and there. With a little more encouragement...he will be full-on walking before we know it!

My son walks with a push toy or assistance from someone. He'll also stand on his own for over two minutes.

My son Carter was born on the 17th. He has started taking steps but is not walking quite yet... I hope that he will be walking within the next 2 weeks or so!

My daughter Dyllun was born May 20th, started crawling at 6 months, was cruising a week later and as of last week took her first steps without any help. This week she has been practicing nonstop...she seems to prefer doing it in the middle of the room with nothing around her. My oldest didn't take her first steps on her own till she was 11 and a half months old but she walked 4 feet the first time she tried. I totally cried like a baby.

My daughter was born May 16. She is not even close to walking on her own yet... I'm glad! She crawls everywhere and cruises furniture. She can stand on her own sometimes, but that has just begun happening. I have a hard enough time keeping up with her now, I can't imagine how much more she'll find to get into when she's walking! They grow up too fast!!

My 10 1/2 month old is not even crawling yet. He loves to just sit and spin around in his own way. He can get to places nearby but does not show interest in crawling. However, he is getting up on his hands and feet like a baby elephant and bounces his legs. I think he's going to walk before crawling.

My 10 month old daughter started taking her first steps around 9 months and now shes walking like a pro she truns, picks up toys, kneels down but now shes trying to run but she cant do that yet. She falls. but gets right back up.

Our may 09 bub has been walking for a month to 6 weeks now :) she had big sister to help her learn and encourage her to walk into different rooms to play. Big sis walked at 9 months also

My daughter was so happy that the Saints won the superbpwl she started walking that day!!! So she was almost 9 months old. My husband and I were early walkers me at 8 mo. and him at 9 mo.

Ha ha. My baby was born May 12 and only walks with us holding his hands. I think he is clever, but in differnt ways I guess. He's been dancing when he hears music and twists his body like they do on the wiggles. He has also started climbing the stairs, but wants to sit down on the edge which makes for a sore head when he finishes falling. I'm not worried nor concerned. I am actually happy that he isn't walking at 10.5 months. I will let him take his time. The longer it takes for him to walk the more I can get done he he.

Up until Zander hit 8 months (he was born May 23, 09) we didn't think he would ever crawl, but once he hit 8 mons it took him a week to go from rolling to crawling and pulling himself up on things. Then the week he turned 9 mons. he started walking...he just hit 10 mons. and he is all over the place. He walks all over the house, goes through the kitchen cabinets, carrys around his toys and the occasional piece of wood (that's as big as he is lol). He also manuevers the yard well, I would have thought he wouldn't be able to handle the unevenness of the grass but he does it no problem. He's also figured out how to bend down, pick things up, squat, and turn around in circles...he's so silly! He's my earliest walker...beating out my 17 yr old who started walking at 10 mons. The rest of mine didn't start until 11 mons.

well my baby boy was born on may 13th en is now 10 months but he isnt walking, he jus crawls around en stands up and walks alongside furniture, he does quite well in his walker...

My son was born on May 27th, started army crawling at 4 months then pulling up on furniture and stuff at 5 monts, he will stand by the furniture and walk around holding on to it, but once he lets go he just sitts donw, he also pulls up on walls, which is funny to me lol! But its so cute! when we try to help him walk he will do it, but he wont on his own! He has been standing with our help alot though!!

My son stood on his own yesterday with no assistance while bending over and digging through a box of his birthday party supplies. He can walk when he's hanging on to stuff, and my son and your daughter were born on the same day. She is indeed doing GREAT!

My son, James, was born on the 21st of May 2009 and started walking a week ago! He crawled on 5 months already so its a full 5 months of crawling! He enjoys every second of walking and plays so HARD during the day that he's 'dead' tired by 18:00pm. He's a bit slow on the teething though! Will keep you all UPDATED!

Hi, yep! I know the feeling! My son will be 10 months the 25th of March and he started walking about 3 weeks ago. He is doing really well now and walks all over the place. He even steadies himself so he doesn't fall down. It's so exciting!

My son Blair was born 20th May and isn't walking yet. I'm glad i read this now as i was getting a bit worried that he wasn't walking. But i know every child is different. He has only just started crawling (army crawling). But he does pull himself up to furniture. He is very fast though i'd walk into the lounge and he'd be straight under my feet from his room where he was playing. i know he'll be walking soon at his own little pace :)

To all the mums who's little one is walking congrats... my little poppet isnt walking :((
mind you she is so small. She tries to pull herself up on her toys. cant pull herself up on the furniture as she cant reach to pull herself up she is so short.. I do compare her to my son tho which is bad I guess, as he was walking well running at 9mths. she loves to stand up all the time tho and will walk if I hold her hands but always on her tippy toes. I really dont think she will be walking b4 she is one boo hoo..

Deakin was born on May 26th and not walking yet but he sure is getting around holding onto stuff. Im so proud of him today he stood by himself for a little while and almost took a step, im sure he will be going all by himself before i know it.

Adalyn was born on May 13th and has been pulling up since Christmas. She has always been VERY VERY active and motivated to move. She took her first steps on Sunday and I am so proud!!!! Look out here she comes. For those moms whose little one isnt walking yet, keep in mind most babies dont walk until they are 12 mo.

My Son Tyler Born May 16th has taken about 10steps but that was a one of lol, he walks on furniture and he will walk if i hold one of his hands ( very cute) He can stand up by himself and bend and pick up toys maby take a step but he is a fast crawler and hides under the table and inbetween the armchairs so think he likes being down low but hopefully he will start walking fully in the next few weeks he getting to heavy for me to carry him all the time lol

My daughter started walking at 8 1/2 months. She is practically running now! She can even step up on to small steps. The age range that is normal for walking is between 10 and 13 months. Hope this answers your question.

My son born on the 3rd has little interest in standing so walking is definitely down the road. That's okay though as he's very fast and very mobile on the ground! :) Congrats on your wee one's accomplishments.

My daughter born 26th May has been walking holding one finger for a month or so- I have had to buy her the smallest shoes possible. My son who is 4 1/2 walked at exactly 9 months unaided. Aparently I also walked at 9 months, my health visitor told me that it can be genetic. My daughter may be walking but she cannot roll over and screams when I put her on her tummy.

Myla! lol My babies name is Mya and my bestfriends babies name is Nylah, so your babies name is a combination of the two. They are both the same age... Mya is walking five steps at a time...she's not running around the house yet, but all babies develop at their own pace. She's crawling at a fast pace, and like all milestones I'm sure she'll be running around now in no time. congratulations!

My daughter Lauren is going to be 10 mos on the 26th...not walking yet she is good at standing but crawls very fast and walks holding on to things and my hands...she is a tip toe one lol like my first who was walking well by now. Although my middle child didnt start walking until she was about 15 mos.... Lauren has 3 teeth that are actually out and three comming in four total on bottom and 2 tops !! its so cute !! she is very vocal and mimics noises...says mama, dada, baba, hi and opens and closes her hands while she says hi lol we havent done bye she says hi for both lol.. she will bend down to pick up toys but holds on to something while she does it or gets down and crawls to get things..Once she gets that confidence it will be all over she will be running around crazy lol...Sounds like most of the 2009 babies are right along with what she is doing !!! It all goes by soo fast :(

hi my son was born on may 2nd 09 and my little boy didnt start crawling till 8 1/2 months but he started pulling himself up at 9 months and is now standing up on his own. he isnt walking yet but hes very sterdy on his feet and is moving sideways holding on to the sofa or table and he'll be 11 months in 9 days. my mum said i didnt start walking till i was 15 months but my partner walked at 9 months. hes alot more like daddy than mummy, hes very smart and independant. he is also saying some words he says muma, dada, baba, nana, hello and has just started saying bye. he can also eat with a spoon on his own to and drinks out of his sippy cups on his own. im very proud of my little boy, hes come all this way in only 2 months. :)

My 10 month old daughter Rubi who was born on the 18th May, is no where near walking, she has just started in the last few weeks commando crawling, i am not too sure if she will actually crawl, so we are just patiently waiting.

almost! He stands and bends down to pick things up and will take two steps or so, but gets lazy and goes into a crawl. To be honest though, I'm glad he wasn't a fast walker, like my older boys were because with 4 kids in this house right now, I'd be pulling my hair out! LOL! Both my boys walked around 8-9 months and one of my friend's daughters started walking around 7 1/2 and was full fledged running by 9. I think it's amazing how different babies are, don't you :-)

My son starting crawling at 6 months, the next day started walking along furniture and at the beginning of 9 months started walking by himself. He can bend down pick stuff up also.. Now he walks more than anything!

my son was born 27 may 2009 and he was crawling at 5months, he now standing up against furniture and his big toys and tries to walk off but falls over. but will walk along the furniture holing on or holig my hands. hes talking well, says mom dad nan, bab, bow wow(for dog) ayay for my sister amy and he is just cutting his 7th tooth.

Liam was born on 31st May and isn't anywhere near walking yet! He's only just started crawling properly and is starting to show an interest in pullin g himself up furniture. I'm not at all bothered though as my daughter walked at 12 months and my other son 15months and I'm more than happy to wait lol! He does "talk" alot though and can say mum, dad, ta (for thank you) something that sounds like Hannah (his older sister!) and what sounded suspiciously like Grandad on sunday!!! It all comes together in the end!

Our 10 month old son, Bailey, born on the 14th of may, is walking and has been doing so since 7 1/2 months we could not believe it he was so so small and his little legs would just go go go very cute. Bailey has been doing all the bits and piece 1 month or even 2 in advance and whilst doing this he is slowing down on the weight thing and still only weighs a little under kg when he has friends that are already 15kg he is just a ball of muscle and man can he eat he never stops well only to sleep and is not picky..

Giana was born on May 26th and though she's been cruising the furniture for a couple of months now, She still won't walk. She has taken steps without holding on to anything, but freaks out when she realizes I am not holding her anymore. She bends down to pick things up and stands right back up. But not walking. Soon though.

Millie was born 31st May 2010, she isnt a crawler but sits up unaided quite the thing. If we extend our hand she will pull herself up and is taking steps while holding our hands but thats as far as she has got so far x
