I asked our doc the same question. Sometime my little girl poops once everyday and sometimes every other day. No worries. Just make sure that the bowel movement is no too firm and that she is making enough pee diapers.

Totally... my baby only poops like once a week... every baby is different and since you are breast feeding they are getting less milk solids... it is perfectly normal for a baby to poop less when they are breastfed as opposed to formula

My daughter is almost 8 weeks and can go a couple of days without pooping. According to my dr it is ok!

My baby would goes days without pooping and I called her Dr. They say that some babies will go 4-5 days without, even if they are breastfeeding.

Totally normal, my son is 9 weeks old and he only goes once a day too. He is on formular now, but he was the same when breastfed.

My son was only pooping every other day when I was breastfeeding him, and not having good weight gain although he seemed to be eating constantly. Now that he's strictly formula, he poops once a day.

I understand your worry, my 7 week old was having the same problem it freaked me out at first but everyone is saying its normal. I have started drinking grape juice too and it helps her go to the bathroom.

Normal! :) My little one goes once a day. We breastfeed, and after six weeks, it is normal for a breastfed baby to go a week between poops. It just is digested more efficiently. And even formula fed babies can go once a day. "Constipation" is classified as having very hard stools rather than not going in a baby, which usually happens in formula babies at one point or another.

It can be totally normal. I freaked out when my breastfed baby started pooping only once every three days! This was at around 2 weeks or so. The doctor told me that as long as I was breastfeeding and she was happy otherwise then it was totally normal. Now that she has started on solids she poops twice a day or so.
Apparently as long as they are 'regular' then it doesn't matter how often 'regular' is...

Are you formula feeding or breast feeding? Breast feed babies poop several times a day. Many times formula feed babies get constipated.

Sure. At this age, they can poop once a day, sometimes 10 times a day. Sometimes not for 4-5-6 days. BE THANKFUL! Yellow and seedy should still be the norm. I wouldn't worry about it! My little one is just about every diaper, so I'm jealous!
