my baby isn't talking yet is that normal?

I think she's on track, maybe just a little quiet is all. My son doesn't even say mama or dada, or make much babbling noise at all. He does do like a high pitched scream and laughs at his brothers. But he does have two older brothers that do a lot for him and get things for him. I asked about it at his 9mo check and the doctor just wanted to make sure to recheck him at 1 year.

My lil guy is so vocal and yells screams hitch pitched and is a very happy baby says mama , dada ...says Broda for brother ,, but not often... she could just be a quiet baby , be thank ful cause every night my ears ache lol

Bye bye? - I can't even imagine my guy saying that right now! He turned 9 months on the 4th. He does a lot of strings, "da da da da dad daddy dada" and "babababa" and other random noises. He only says "ma ma" when he is crying or upset (and dada when he is super happy - go figure!). But he isn't babbling constantly. He seems to get a bit more talkative as the weeks go by - but sometimes it seems that on a day to day basis he can be more quiet or more talkative.

I am sure as some had said that your baby is doing fine. Each child is very different as I havce learned with my two boys. One of my boys is 21 months and he does go to speech therapy because he only says about 4 words and no sentences. My almost 9 month old baby has been jabbering since birth. Jeremiah my first did not do that. My nine month old also says ma ma and ba ba a lot.

I am sure she is fine...mine only started to say dada 3 weeks ago and she doesnt say it alot either. as long as she is interacting with you rest assured that she is just fine

Every baby is different! I have met babies who make sounds all the time and others are quiet. Just like in adults...you meet blabber mouths like me and then people who are quieter than a mouse. I think it is awesome that she says mama and dada!

Well I don't know if it's normal, but my little guy hasn't even said ma ma or da da yet. He says mmmm and aaaa but hasn't put them together. He says yayayaya and I heard him say ba just recently. I mentioned it to my doctor at my 9 month appointment and she didn't seem too concerned. She said it could just be his personality, he's really not a vocal baby, so he's probably just quieter. She said just keep reading and talking to him.

My baby has said ma ma and da da and just recently has said boob twice haha! He is very vocal with baby jibber jabber thou.
