Hi, i'm Emmas friend (above) i'm now 32 weeks pregnant & my son is 9 months 1 week. I was fully breast feeding every 4 hours......it was a shock at first but you do get used to it. Unfortunatly i had to give up breast feeding at 5 months as my milk changed so much that my little man was constantly feeding but always hungry. Quite lucky for me though as he got his first 2 teeth 2 weeks later!!!!!
Congrats all will work its self out fine. What was ment to be was ment to be.

Congratulations. I'm not pregnant myself but my friend who has an 8 mth old baby is due her second in 9weeks time! She fell pregnant when her first child (born May 3rd 2009) was just 8 weeks old! So she'll have two children both under the age of 1!!!

my son will be 8 months on Jan 28th, and I am 16 weeks pregnant. I also had to have a c-sect due to gestational diabetes. We didn't plan this one, but are so thankful for another blessing. I too am anxious about another c-sect because I didn't have a very good experience with the first, and was very ill afterwards. but believing all will be different this time. Good luck to you!! and Congrats!

Congrats. This happened to me last year I had a boy and then when he was 7 weeks old I got prego with my daughter. It was scary and overwhelming. Still is. They are now 19 months and 8 months and you will be very busy but it is also rewarding

My daughter was born may 4th, and i'm due june 14th. This was totally not planned too. I also had a c-section with her and the doctor said i have to have another c-section since my scar didn't have enough time to heal.

Hello! I am not pregnant but I had a similar experience with yours before.. My eldest daughter was 13 months old when I got pregnant with my second baby, totally not planned also and I was so scared during that time that it reached to a point that I wished my pregnancy was not true! I had a repeat c-section and Praise God there were no complications! It was quite difficult nurturing two babies at the same time but they bring me great joy, they are such a great gift and a blessing... now my babies are both healthy..

CONGRATULATIONS!! Babies are truly blessings. I'm not preggo now, but I did this 2ce. My older ones are 4,5 and 6. The first two were planned that close. (Two girls and a boy in the middle.) They are the best of friends and inseparable. I wouldn't change it for the world!!! I'm not gonna lie the first few months with a baby getting up all night and a toddler are rough, but it's totally worth it. I grew up as the oldest w/ siblings 6 and 10 yrs younger. I might as well have been an only child.

Now my kids are old enough to start sports and scouts. It is such a joy that we can do all these things together. Having kids that close in age was the best thing I ever did.

Also, I had C-sections and everything worked out for me. I do know it puts you at higher risk though. The best thing you can do for you is get plenty of rest, make sure you take care of yourself, too and enjoy this time.

Hi Dayna, I have to brutally honest! When I read your post 3 days ago I was thinking, "Oh no, I could never have them so close in age! I dont think I could manage! But bessings to you and your little ones!" AND THEN... I missed my period! So low and behold, I am also pregnant! I have concerns about breastfeeding though. I have breastfed my little girl, 8 months, all her life and she LOVES "the boob." Im worried she wont get all the nutrients she needs now that I am pregnant again! Ive spoken to my doctor and he said its fine as long as I monitor her weight gain just to see if she is developing as per normal. Although I have read different things on the net. Anyone had this same experience?

Hi, I've just found ot this week that I'm Pregnant again (just over 4 weeks). Mine was planned but I'm still a bit surprised because we took nearly 2 years to get pregnant with our son born on 04/05/09.

Same with me. When my daughter was 6 months old I got pregnant again with my son who was born last May. I stressed out about the c section too coz I had one with my daughter and was planned to have another c-section the second time but my waters broke 3 weeks before my due date and was advised to go natural but I was already in the mindset of c-section and and freaked out and requested one. I found the second one healed much faster than the first. But either way is fine. It is totally your choice. Equal risks both ways. It was hard having a newborn and 15 month old baby at the same time especially since the newborn had a toungue tie and feeding probs but it is really easy now and everything is still fresh in my memory from the first. One thing though. My mother in law said she was still breastfeeding one baby while pregnant with another and she said the one in the womb had a few health probs she thinks might have been related to lack of nutrients. I'd check with your doctor though. Good luck.

Hi I'm pregnant again and i'm worried because I fell pregnant while breast feeding when my son was 5 months old and miscarried at 8weeks gestation. None of our pregnancies were planned but it turns out we're both really fertile.

This is where we as women under value ourselves. We are strong and can rise to the occasion. Just take it one day at a time and enjoy each moment. My 3 were one right after the other. The first were just shy of 13 months apart (totally not planned!), The next spacing was 17 months (we started talking and there he is!). Within 2 1/2 years I had 3 kids! When the third was born, we were just about to start potting training the oldest. It was a crazy time but I adore having them so close in age and wouldn't have it any other way! They are very close, we got the baby/diaper stage done, and they play with the same sort of things. We love it!

we had just started weaning from the breast when I got pregnant, and actually, when we did stop, I didn't dry up right away. It was about 3 weeks later and I was still leaking and decided to call the dr to find out why and they told me to take a pregnancy test! low and behold, it was positive!

My daughter is also almost 8 months old and I'm now 12 weeks pregnant! We were definitely NOT expecting this! We had tried for 4 and a half years to get pregnant with my daughter Isabella and now we are expecting again! I'm happy that they will be really close together, but scared to death about chasing around a 15 month old while trying to nurse a newborn! Congrats on your new pregnancy and just know you are definitely NOT alone on this one!

yes I was breastfeeding and still am, sort of.. I knew breastfeeding didn't mean i wouldn't get pregnant and we weren't using any sort of birth control.. our feelings were "whatever happens, happens" and it sure did!

Congrats! I'm sure that would feel a bit overwhelming, but how cool that your kids will be so close in age! Will you try to do a VBAC or will they just do another C-section since they're so close together? Best of luck!
