Toe walking?

My daughter starting doing it as well. Like u said not all the time just here and there. It should be okay I've heard that a lot of babies do it.

I keep flat/hard sole shoes on my son so he acant walk on his toes because he too does it 'sometimes'. It is something that you want to watch if they do it for too long. It is a hard thing to correct.

My daughter does it occasionally. I am not worried. I call her my "twinkle toes". Now when I call her "twinkle toes" she walks on them. She thinks it's funny and I can't help but laugh. She is just testing her balance. Who know's, maybe she'll be a ballerina!

For all of you who have toe-walkers, I would continue to watch and make sure they do out grow it soon. My son walked and continues to walk on tip-toes since he started walking at 9 months old. He is now 4 and 1/2 years old and we have done therapy, he has braces for night time and I stretch his feet daily. I always read that kids out grow it, but for those that do it all the time I would be concerned and watch carefully. My 16 month old does not walk on tip toes thankfully!

My daughter hasnt/isnt toe walking but i really believe its because of these soes I got her right before she started walking, they are by FootKinetic. The heel of the shoes has a squeeker in it (kind of like a dog toy). The shoes were created by a pediatrician to help new walkers walk flat footed. It makes the baby want to put his/her heel down to hear the squeek. They are really cute and they are for both boys and girls, and the best part is that if they start walking properly right away you can take the squeek out. I loved them. Evy started walking at 11 months and is now 16 months and she is running and keeping up with her almost 5 year old sister so I think they work great plus everyone notices them squeeking around and thinks its really cute. I would give it a try they are about $25 and worth every penny. Good luck gals I hope this was helpful

My son did that for a little while but soon he stopped. No worry, it is just the process as they are learning how to work properly.

My son starting walking at 13 months and starting toe walking about 2 weeks ago ( at almost 16 months) He is flat feet most of the time. So, I am guessing it's a phase. So funny to hear you all bring this up when I just mentioned it to my husband yesterday.

Just keep an eye on it. my cousin walked on her tip-toes all the time, and she ended up with leg-braces to help her walk properly on flat feet. I don't see it being an issue if it's only some of the time, but if it develops into most of the time/ all the time, then bones/muscles might not develop properly and may need help to correct them.

My son does it also. He started walking around 9 months and started toe walking maybe around 13 months.. It drives me nuts, it looks painful, my mother-in-law said she use to toe walk.

Ahhh! My son does that. lol He started walking just after 8 months and then picked up toe walking around 12 months. I think it's a phase, I did it when I was little too.

My daughter is 16 months and she does it really bad, the doc said that its nothing to worry about. When they hit around 18 months they start to develop the heel to toe method so they will stop doing it.

my daughter started doin the same thing bout 2 months ago. i think its cute. her pediatrician says its nothing to b concerned over since she does walk flat footed most of the time
