What is "too old" for pack n play sleep?

We travel to see my parents a good bit and right now Ella sleeps in the pack n play. She'll turn 1 May 28 and is small for her age (12 percentile). I was just wondering when a child it too old to sleep in a pack n play. Some say 2, but I've hear otherwise, too. I was just curious. The pack n play just seems so hard.

when they can climb out i would start putting them somewhere else. or when their weight is over the limit for the pack and play. i have four and all of them have slept in pack and plays for naps. most of them until age 3...except my son who insisted on climbing out at 1 1/2 lol

My nieces slept in the pack n play until they were 2 and a half (they were twins so also small for their age maybe 25th percentile by that age) ... my son is 13months now (5/1 DOB) and he sleeps in the pack n play on trips and at my moms because where else will he sleep? I fold up a big blanket and put it under the sheet so it gives it a little more cushion for him to sleep on but he doesn't really seem to mind.

I agree with the other moms, as long as she's comfortable and within the size guidelines, its fine. My daughter doesn't like the feel of the pad so we use a quilt over it, like a sheet. We tried a regular sheet and it wasn't enough...she would pull it off and throw it over the side and stand there and look at us like we were crazy :)

ive used a pack n play for sleep from day one. my daughter is very small for her age (10 percentile) and seems to be getting uncomfortable with it (she moves around a lot at night). we are switching to a crib in just a few days so she will have a bit more room.

I stopped using it for my son when he started climbing out of it at 17 months. They do seem really hard so we've always brought a pretty thick quilt to lay down under the pad.

I think the pack-n-play works as long as your child is comfortable in it. My daughter just turned 1 and is in the 90% for height and weight...she sleeps in hers just fine when we need her to! As long as your comfortable, and your child is, too....I say go for it!

My son just turned one. When we go out and going to be spending the night I do still use a pack n play and he is in the 95th percentile. I think as long as she is comfortable in it she's fine sleeping in the pack n play.
