My daughter is my only living child after ten pregnancies and nine years of trying. We named her Christina Rose. Spelt out it is Christ In A Rose.....because she was a gift from god that took a long time to blossom! So lovely to read all the special ways and reasons that babies have been named!

My son is Quinn Frederick Galvin. My husband is irish and I always said our sons would have Irish names in honor of his family. His name was going to be Griffin, but as my pregnancy went on, i didn't like it as much. My older son is Liam Michael and I love the name so much and I didn't feel as good about Griffin, so while I was in labor, I said we are naming him Quinn. and that was that. and Frederick is after my dad and grandfathers. ( michael is my brother)

My daughter is Evelyn Louise. Evelyn means Desired and Louise means Life. And she sure is a desired life.



She is the 7th generation with the middle name Louise. It's passed from mother to daughter and it's very special because in my family we don't have a lot of girls.



I always loved the nickname Evie and when searching for an old fashion name that doesn't sound like an old lady, we knew that Evelyn would be perfect! Hubby calls her Evie Lou when he's being really sweet and trying to make her giggle.

Luella Elizabeth. Luella, after her great-great-grandmother (94 years old) and Elizabeth after her great aunt. We call her Ella about 50% of the time.

Noah Elden. My husband named him. The name Elden is a family name, my husband, his father and his grandfathers middle names are all Elden so the tradition is passed on again. He just liked the name Noah and hadn't heard the name used that much.

Now that we are in our new location there are at least 6 Noah's in our neighborhood alone.

So much for an uncommon name. lol

my first born is named aaliyah selina....when i was in kindergarden i met a girl named aaliyah and i fell inlove with the name and from that moment on i said if i ever have a girl shell be my aaliyah :) and selina wasnt my choice i personally dont like the name but since i demanded on naming her aaliyah i wanted the dad to pick the middle name :)



my second is named delilah kathrin....the first time i heard the name delilah was from plain white tees "hey there delilah" and the way he sings that name is just so wonderful i fell inlove with it imediatly and when we found out we were having a girl i demanded we name der delilah :) so i told the daddy once again to pick a middle name and since his mother had died just before he chose to give her her name kathrin :)

My husband wanted to name our first born daughter after myself but i didnt want that... and so we were laying in bed one night and Angelina Jolie was on tv and he said what about Angelina and i liked it. i thought it was too cute because My husband loves her he thinks she is so pretty so thats where my daughter got her name and by the way her middle name is Briann after my husband Brian..

me and my husband couldn't agree on boys names for a very long time. he's a jr and wanted a third and i just felt like it was to much and i didn't want to put pressure on him to have a fourth. i was reading a book (i'm a romance novel junkie) and one of the characters last name was lawson and i loved it. his middle name is my maiden name, kinda after my grandfather who passed away when i was 11. i didn't want to use his first name b/c we already have 3 others in the family with his first name.

Our daughter's name is Natalie Jean. Natalie is from the Latin for Nativity and we found out she was a girl on Christmas Eve. Jean was her paternal grandmother's middle name who passed away the day before she was born.

we named are 4th child william wayne we really like older strong names for our boys and wayne covered so many loved ones his great grandfather grandfather uncle and dad. my 2nd born garrett daniel garrett was the only name as well as william we could agree on and daniel after his dads step father that died young and a uncle. and our girls well i named the first brittaney ann-nikkole because its pretty and 2nd girl jessi lu because jessi was unisex and lu after myself and grandmother. so family was a big part.

We named our son, Jadsden Lee Ripp, we love different names. Jadsden Lee is named after his dad, Jared Lee. Then we kind of made up Jadsden, there is a City called Gadsden(which we really liked the name) and we knew we wanted his name to start with J so he would have the same initials as his dad so we just changed it to Jadsden. :)

My little girl is called Evie Mae... we chose Evie two days after she was born, so we could meet her and get to know her before chosing her name. Mae is the month she was born, but spelt slightly differently. We did think of Mai, but Mae worked out better. If she had been a boy, she would have been called Leo - there's no reason behind it though.

my little boys name is Caleb Jaxson. because 1st we couldnt agree on a name that we both liked. and 2nd because his dads name is Joshua and in the bible they are best friends. So it just fit and Jaxson because im a twilight freak and jackson rathbone plays jasper in it so i like the name Jaxson and it sounded good with Caleb

We named our son Samuel Francis. My husband has always liked the name "Sam" & my great-grandfathers name was Walter Samuel. I love traditional names, & felt that Samuel was a strong, traditional name. Francis came from my other grandfather, his name was John Francis, but was known as "Frank". My husbands best friend's name was Billy Francis, he passed away in a snow mobiling accident a few years ago, & we wanted to pay tribute in a small way.

Our daughters name is Olivia Joan Therese, Olivia has always been my favourite name, & again, I love that the fact that it's very traditional. Joan is my Mom's name & Therese comes from St.Therese....we had alot of health problems when Olivia was first born & I prayed everyday to St. Therese for strength....well, Olivia pulled through...so I felt that I needed to add Therese as a second middle name.....

My son is named Braylon David. Braylon Edwards is a football player and his name replaced the name that my husband always wanted which was Bode (like Miller the skier). I hated Bode but I liked Braylon. My dad and brother are named David and my father and brother in law are named David so we killed 4 birds with one stone!

my daughters name is Abigale Grace Allwood- if Abigale was spelt (abigail) it would meen fathers joy ironik to say her dad dont want anything to do with her. i was looking for 9 months for a name i fell in love with i first liked tayler-mai but, i was listening to mums talking to there babies and i heard abigale and it stuck i just changed the spelling, grace comes from her aunti's middle name i couldnt use her 1st it didnt sound right x

Porter John Rae, Because it sound like a masculine yet sensitive boy / Man's name/ we know No other Porter's.

I went onto the baby name genie website where it generates a first name that surposidly suites your surname, It's 2nd suggestion Porter Jason - I was like wow thats pretty close (after baby was born )

My daughters name is Abby Alyssa. Its a funny story because my husband and I were trying to think of something that went together well and was unique - but we ended up with it being two very unique names! We don't regret it though. We think when she is in school her name will be the unique one in her day, with all these other unique names.

My baby's name is Matson. I named him after his father, Matt. The name Matson literally means "Matt's son", and it is a perfect, cute name. Unique, and fits him. Couldn't imagine a different name now, I had him named Matson 6 months before he was born:) Anytime you can make baby's name special by incorporating family members' names, middle names, etc, I think it is so nice and keeps family history. His middle name was the name of my Grandfather.

My sons name is Adler James. I heard Adler as a last name and it stuck in my head as well as being unique but everyone wouldn't say it wrong or have trouble spelling it. I wanted his name to end in -er because most boy names and with -n or -y or something. Now that he is 8 months old I find alot of people are using last names as first names, so I wasn't as original as I thought but I've never met an Adler and it fits him perfectly so I am very happy. James is my fathers name and I'm a Daddy's girl so I always wanted to name my son after him. He's the best man I've ever known.♥

hi my son is called Charlie Edward Smith and he was born 2nd may 09, Charlie was the name of my grandad, he and i were very close and he died of cancer so that name is special to me, Edward was the second name of my step grandad who was also very close to me and died 3 years before Charlie was born so that name is also so special to me. and Smith is my fiances last name and of course is special to me because i love him with all my heart which is why i wanted Charlie to have his last name. :)
