What kind of activities do you do with your little one?

We dance together. She has music of her own and you can tell when one plays.We play pass ball and even hide and seek sometime.

We started coloring. She has a little table in her room and I bought these Handy Manny Coloring sheets that take up almost the whole table. I sit down and color with her. She likes to trade crayons with me and see all the different colors that she creates.

My son will be 15 months old on 24th of August, so we are there...He loves climbing right now, just started doing it recently, so I try to make some interesting ones for him, with soft foam blocks, body pillow, and our comfy chairs. Drawing with crayons, painting(I always use his high chair as a place for him to sit and do it on the tray, so I can manage the mess), play dough, we visit friends or they come to visit us, play at play areas at the mall, go to the library, there is a free show every Wednesday morning, movie for the children, in the local movie theater, that's so great! We bring snack and enjoy for good 30-40minutes and then it's time for us to go, puppet theater that we are just planning to visit, we like finding new parks with lower climbing structures, co we do go around looking for them :P it is hot so outdoor activities are limited to the morning for like hour, hour and half, and/or late afternoon. We have small sand box with the lid which we use for water and sand, sensory activity. Have fun, that's important!
Oh, yes, and he loves songs songs like Wheels on the Bus and Itsy bitsy spider, we row the boat while we sing that song, dancing, and, recently, he saw Thomas cartoon and Builder Bob so that's about it, I hope :)

I read to my daughter and she loves it. I also introduced her to crayons. She loves to color. I bought large sheets of paper that she can sit on and color on her playmat. We also go "swimming" which is her favorite activity at the moment. Sometimes just playing with her toys together provides us both with a lot of entertainment.

We just started coloring. I got her the washable, fat crayons and she enjoys scribbling on blank paper. Also, we go to indoor play areas (its hot here too!) most of the malls have them and also you can join something like gymboree, little gym, etc. to have some indoor playtime and socialization. We became members of a couple local Mom groups at meetup.com (free). We go on walks, zoo, aquarium, parks, swimming at the local pool, free story time at local bookstores (in forign languages!) and visit grandparents. We also joined Stroller Strides, so I get a workout 3 days a week and she gets to socialize with the other babies after class.

There's lot of things you can do! We're not outdoorsy types so we go to the library, mall, aquarium, museums, etc. We even host and attend playdates with local moms. We occasionally enroll in classes through the rec center and used to go to Gymboree which offers music and play classes. They also have open gyms where the children can play on the equipment. :)

Is there a local MOMS Club in your area? If so, it's a great resource for meeting other moms with kids the same age as yours. Maybe your pediatrician would have a suggestion? Also, the library is a great resource as they often have free programs where you can meet other moms as well and get ideas from them. Good Luck.

drawing and painting is always fun, we read stories he love love love books!, play ball, playing with blocks, playing peek-a-boo and he loves being chased we run around the house chasing each other :D

We go to the community center and I do some low impact exercise in the water holding my daughter. She loves it, and i get some exercise! I can also take her walking around the indoor track in her stroller. I lead a toddler story time every week at our library that I bring her too. We also have gone to a few ECFE summer classes.

I use vanilla pudding with food coloring for finger paint, it messy but no toxic.

finger painting is always lots of fun, we read stories and play peek a boo, adn sing and dance and make cakes (which is incredibly messy but lots and lots of fun)

My son loves to chase and be chased. We play hide and seek. And even our cat gets in on the fun and will play hide and seek with the baby- it's the cutest thing! We also like to go outside and throw the ball back and forth, (he's quite good), or go swimming (he loves the water).

We go to Story Time at our local Library. My kids (age 3 and 1) play at the YMCA childcare for an hour everyday (while I work out). We go to the swimming pool. I push the kids in the stroller at the mall. They play at the indoor playground in the mall. They play with the Thomas the Train table at a local book store. And of course when we're home, my kids play together, we sing songs, dance, read books, etc....

I try to get them out of the house for some activity everyday. It's a little easier for me b/c I also have a 3 year old (that's interested in things longer), but I hate to be stuck at home all the time. You might also check to see if your local community center has an open play time. Ours has "open play" during the winter and the gym is open to children to ride on little ride-ons or bikes, and play with balls, etc. It's great when it's really cold outside.

read books! let him tell everything he sees. When it's an animal he can make the sound.
Sing songs with gestures. My daughter loves "head, shoulders, knees and toes." She only touches het toes and keep doing till the song is over.
Let your child deside with wich toy he want to play and how. I've already had a basket on my head as a hat. Because she thinks it is fun.
And she loves to imitate everything i do. So her teaset is being used lots of times.
