i didnt stop bleeding untill my son was over 1 mounth old.he is now 2 mounths and i just had my first cycle again

I bled for 6 weeks. It stopped for a week then I got my first period. Not to discourage but my Dr. told me you can bleed for up to 12 weeks!

I didn't stop until 7 weeks after giving birth....it also stopped for a few days and continued to get heavier for a few more weeks....but everyones different....6 weeks ish i heard is normal

you could bleed until shes 6 weeks or you could go another week and it will stop... i finished with my bleeding after 3 weeks..

Well, I'm headed to Florida in the morning (daughter is 6 weeks old) and happy to say my bleeding has completely stopped. I think it stopped around 4 weeks and then was about a week of random discharge. Thanks ladies!

With my son, I bled for the full 6 weeks, and then started a period that sixth week as well, even though I was pumping breastmilk. I was also on the mini-pill, which caused me to have a pretty continuous period for the whole two months I was on it.

Mine slowed down to almost nothing around 5 weeks but then I went for the 6 week post pardom checkup and it was bad for a week and 1/2 after that, it's finally slowed (hopefully stopped) at 8 weeks!

Mine stopped after 4 weeks but it all depends on how active you are.. Mine would seem as if it stopped and then I would go for long walks or a mall shopping trip and then 2 days later it would start back up.. I also had a c-section so I know that makes a small difference.. but in our classes before we had the baby said to take it easy if you can.. the more active you are the longer your apt to bleed..



But im sure youll be fine by the time you are leaving.. Good Luck with your little baby and have a great trip!!

I had my daughter on May 11th, and it was about 3 weeks before I stopped bleeding.
I've just hit the 7th week though, and now I'm on my first period since the pregnancy! lol Ugh, I didn't miss it.

I'm still bleeding and my daughter turned 7 weeks yesterday. It tapered off around 4 weeks and then started up again a few days after that, maybe around 5 weeks. Then I thought all was good around 6 weeks and I went about 5-6 days without much discharge at all and of course it started again yesterday..... So if you ask me, who had a uncomplicated vaginal birth but who is a really busy mommy....I might be one of those 8 weekers :(

With both of my boy the bleeding stopped at about three weeks. My second son was born on the 28th May.

I had my little girl on the 7th may and haven't stopped bleeding yet, however i contracted an infection o the doctor said that made it worse

Mine didnt completely stop until about 6 weeks 2 days after, mine also would go from being light to almost non-existent back to full force, but once I got started on my birth control it stopped 2 days later.

My daughter is 5 weeks old today, & I had stopped bleeding this past Friday, there was a little yesterday, but then it stopped again. My Dr. had told me that it isn't that unusual to bleed for up to 8 weeks. But, hopefully you won't fall into that group, I know I'd be miserable! Good luck!

I think I bled around 3 weeks- I had my daughter May 7 and stopped bleeding a couple weeks ago, so I'd say 3 weeks is what it was...but yeah, don't be too concerned- you will most likely not be bleeding at 6 weeks, it's really rare for it to last that long! Good luck!

I'm at 3 weeks now and have stopped bleeding. I am still wearing a liner because my all together discharge is still a lil heavy, but I could go without and not have to worry about public embarressmant. Lol. it differs from person to person, I hear that the average bleed time is around 3-4 weeks. This was also my first baby, vaginal birth with no interventions. I also tore a lil bit but I dont know if that affects the all together bleeding.

The more you do, the longer you will bleed. With my daughter I bled for about 4 weeks, this pregnancy with my son who was born on 5/5, I just stopped a couple days ago so about 5 weeks. Both were vaginal deliveries.

hey I bleed with both my babies for 6 weeks then stops and starts for a bit, but i had a c-section with both and c-section bleeding is not as heavy as natural birthing.

I had my baby May 5th and I just recently stopped bleeding as well. It's different for everyone! I now only have little discharge. It'll stop before then I bet!

Hi- I had my daughter on May 2nd and I just stopped bleeding within the past week. So

I bleed for 5 weeks. I actually stopped for like 4 days in week 4, so I thought it was over but then it started back up again heavy. I hear everyone is different, my friend bled for 7 weeks. Good luck, I hope it stops before your vacation
