My son will be 5 months tomorrow, and he sprouted his two bottom teeth just the other day, they both came in at once. The whole process was brutal and I'd say it probably started about 3 months ago with the drooling and the biting. Someone mentioned that runny noses and coughs are associated and that is true for us. He's had what I thought was a cold for so long and it just won't go away and then my doctor told me it has to do with teething.

My son Owen, 5 and a half months, is the most "drooly" baby ever! He started chewing his hands and fists at about 2 months and has not stopped. He does have 2 teeth already. First one (bottom left) came through on exactly his 5th month and the second one, right beside the first came through three days later. He has been so good about it. Not really fussy or irritable at all, that has been his demeanor from birth though, I lucked out! I can tell he will be getting some more very soon as well!

Yeah, My son Aaden is also 5 1/2 months old. He constantly has his hand in his mouth chewing on it. He is also ALWAYS drooling, so I agree...about a month or so for his first tooth.

Lilli has been like that since about 2 months and still no teeth. She actually has gotten a few canker sores which I think is a tooth then it disappears. I hope a tooth comes through soon because I want her to quit being so fussy! :)

My son has his bottom 2. He has been an angel though about it. Especially compared to how my daughter was!!! =)

My daughter had her two bottom teeth at 3 1/2 months. Her back teeth started to cut through at 5 1/2 months. She was never really irritable, but she does enjoy her teething toys. Or her dads lip or nose if he gets too close, lol. I use baby orajel, they have a new combo pack that has a night time formula(10% benzocaine instead of 7.5) as well as the original. She has teething tablets that dissolve in her mouth and I bought I finger toothbrush with a gum stimulator to massage her gums when they are itching(she loves it!!)

Oh yes, teething here, and Joseph is not happy about it. He's not a baby that cries very often, but he cried all night last night, and is sucking on his soother alot, and he never uses a soother. As he was three months early none of the teething rings fit in his little mouth!

My daughter who is 5 1/2 months as well just cut her bottom right tooth. She had been drooling crazy for a while and eating her fists and when I fed her sometime last week I felt in her mouth and low and behold I felt the ridges of the tooth! Now I think she's working on the top one

Yes, my baby has had all those symptoms since about 3 and a half months old. He also gets a runny nose and colds a lot which are associated with teething. He still hasn't got any teeth yet but I can feel them right underneath his gums all around his mouth. I'm hoping one will come through soon and relieve his pain!
