Why is it that newborn boys cry and grip more than newborn girls?

i had my son on may 23 2009, and he cries a lot and i have no answer as to why he does this. It is especially at night when were ready to go to sleep. A couple of my other finds had boys and are going through the same exact thing. What can we do?

When my little girl wants to be held and I have things to do (I also have a 2 year-old and a 3 year-old), I put her in my "sleepy wrap" with a pacifier and go about doing what I need to do. The "sleepy wrap" puts her to sleep and calms her down. It is comfortable enough to wear for a few hours if needed. I can comfortably sit down in it if I get my things done, but she isn't relaxed enough to get out of it. It's been a huge blessing for me & my family.

my son its 11 weks old he started cries in the mornig thank god he still sleep at night, but its something new to me too? I end up kepping him on my arms and he its content

but not good for me bc I can't do nothing, what about colic, he may be colic try the gas relif drops when my baby cries for no reason, after I check his pamper, feed him, make sure he is warm not cold, take his temperature, then I give him the colic drop as my last resort, and ussually it was a gas, or they just need to cry its part of their development good luck

Sounds like colic. I had the same experience with my daughter. This time around though, I got lucky. My little man is a treat. Such a good baby. Try swaddling. Seems to work the best. Good Luck.

Are you breastfeeding? If so he might just want to nurse more at night.

Do you think it's night colic? That is what my son has. We use the swing or swaddling or bouncing with him on a excersize ball and he'll go to sleep after an hour or so.
