My little one is now 10.5 months and she only got her first teeth at the beginning of the month :) so I wouldn't worry that your son has no teeth at 8 months :) I bet he has some now :)

all babies dont get their teeth at the same time.. my baby grew two teeth at once lol... if your doc isnt concerned, you shouldnt be... they will come and have fun when they do!!! (start stocking oragel and ibprofen or tylenol)!!

Hi Ashrose!

My son is 9months old (he will be 10months old on March 4th) and he still has yet to have his first tooth pop through either, however their gums can be cutting teeth for a long while before you actually see the first tooth come through. I took him to the doctor the other day for double pink eye/ear infection and he also had his 9mont check-up done too and the doctor said that he is definately cutting teeth and we could possibly see a tooth on the bottom within a month or so.
Is your son fussy and chewing on everything that he gets a chance to?

Hi, im also breastfeeding and my bubba got her 2 bottom teeth around 6 months, trust me the longer they dont have teeth the better, my bub has bitten my nipple about 5 times and it hurts like hell! I also know a bubba that is a day younger than mine and she started getting teeth at 4 months and is getting her 9th tooth now! She is bottlefed and I also know another baby that is 9 days younger than my bub and he hasnt got any teeth he is also bottlefed so I just think they will come through when they are ready as I have read about bubs still not having any teeth when they are 1 so dont stress =)

I have two children, one of them got teeth at about 7 months and the other is 8 months and just now getting her bottom two teeth. Every child is different in development. My mom runs a daycare and one of the kids she had didn't get any teeth until she was about 10 months! At the age of 1 she only had about 4 teeth altogether. I know it is very exciting with every new milestone with babies but be patient and enjoy your baby the way she is. In good time she will be hitting all these milestones and you will be missing the toothless smile when your daughter starts biting, or the peaceful days when baby didn't walk yet on days when she is running all over and getting into everything. That is my thaught and advice to you, congrats on the baby they are very fun and enjoyable to be around as they grow up. At this age they are starting to get such personalities!

My son is 8 months and three days and just got his first three teeth in two days. My mother in law says the longer it takes for the teeth to come in the better and stronger they are going to be. Every child is different and its ok if babe doesnt have teeth yet...they will come when ready. I have another friend that had her lil man 8 days before mine and he doesnt have any teeth yet either and I also know a lady that had a lil girl that was over a year before she got her teeth. You have nothing to worry about..they will come when ready :)
