1st Bday gifts?

Honestly, this might sound like "no fun" but my daughter has plenty of toys, so I'm going to get photographs done. We don't have a lot of money, and I figure really nice professional photos of her would be more memorable and last longer. I'm also making her a nice scrapbook on Shutterfly.

I'll still get her a little toy, maybe an outfit, and a book, but I think professional photographs would be really memorable. Just an idea.

For my son's first birthday we got him the Parent's Choice musical set with the drum, maracas, etc.

My May 2010 daughter is getting a big deluxe kitchen (thank you craigslist) and a beautiful dress from Sweet Lil' Mama on facebook (look her up....her custom pillowcase dresses are like $17 shipped right now and they are beautiful!!!)

We are gtting my son a swing set!! Nothing huge just your basic metal swing set with slide and swings. He love the swings and slide at the park.

Its somewhat of a tradition to get the kids in my family a Power Wheels Quad for their first birthday. They usually can't operate them on their own til about 18 months but my 4 yr old niece still plays on hers so you will get your moneys worth. Also a little character table with matching chairs and one of those plush fold out couches.

My son's birthday isnt to May but I have bought him some puzzles and a personalised book. I want to buy him something else but I have found anything that grabs me as yet.

I just got this for my son and he loves it. Plus, it promotes learning to walk! It's the Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker

I'm doing the water table and books for my sons birthday. He LOVES splashing around in the tub ( scares me half to death) or any water he can get his hands in, so I know he'll really enjoy it :).

I am looking at one of those push toys. My daughter has been pulling up and creeping around furniture, so I thought she would enjoy one of those toys that she can stand up with and then walk around pushing.

I am making her a water table. She loves to play in the sink and the bath so I figured it would be fun with summer coming up and all...She doesn't get new stuff very often. She prefers books to toys anyway. She is getting new books for easter and her birthday is mothers day.

We're not really a "big plastic toy" kind of family so we don't have many toys in the house at all. Our son's favourite things to play with are not "toys" anyway LOL! So for his first bday we are getting him the wooden Radio Flyer wagon - a classic!!

My son is crazy about Veggie Tales. My husband and I are throwing a veggie tales birthday party for our son's 1st birthday. I already bought stuffed toys of the 2 main characters from the movies. I think mostly he will be getting clothes and diaper money. :)

outdoor toys! summers comming and they'll be at the perfect age to play outside, climbing and running around. I'm getting my daughter a little tykes slide/climber. toys'r'us has such a big selection of stuff like that

My daughter gets new toys every so often (especially after a trip to the doctors getting shots). I too want to get her something a bit more special for her birthday. I was thinking about getting her a ride on toy and/or a water table since it will be summer not too long after her birthday. Good luck!
