Our babies are going to be 1!! I cant believe it. So exciting and sad at the same time because Andrew is getting so big so fast. We are thinking an underwater ocean theme for his 1st birthday. What are you ladies doing and planning?

I just wanted to share some really cute first birthday party themes with you all like Barnyard and Jungle safari. Kids love animals and therefore, your one year old would love watching the animal shaped balloons, pictures, cake, etc. that you would be having at your party. You can even consider Minnie or Mickey theme party, balloon theme party, a color theme party, rainbow party, polka dot party, and much more. Hey it’s a nice theme but your kids wont be able to associate themselves with it. I would recommend you to choose some simpler theme that your little ones will love such as a Minnie and Mickey theme, a balloon theme party, a rainbow party, animal party, and much more. Here are some excellent first birthday party themes that you may consider.

Veggie Tales birthday theme for my son, Gabriel- he's crazy about their shows. I bought him some stuffed toys of the main characters and I know he's going to love them more than anything else he's going to get. :)

We are doing Hungry Caterpillar also. They have the supplies at Target if you live in the US. I am making the cake myself also. Samantha's room is done in that theme and it is one of her favorite books, (although I think it is just because of the graduated sized pages) We have hit up the Dollar Tree for some supplies and containers. Hoping the weather holds out as it is planned to be outside. If not, we have the church fellowship hall as a backup plan. May 7th here we come!!!

Geez! My daughter turns 1 3 weeks after my son will be born. I'd only gotten so far as making the decision to get the cake organised before he arrives! LOL. Reading your posts has made me think that I should make the effort though. She's a Micky Mouse Clubhouse fan so I think I'll go with that. Good luck and have fun to everyone!!!

Im doing a Jungle Theme for my son's 1st brithday. I have got these really bright and happy decorations with jungle animals on them and I am going to make a lion cake the same as his name plaque on his wall in the bedroom as we say good morning to Mr Lion every morning and my son loves it.
