this happened to my son a week ago, i called the doctor and they told me not to worry about it until the fever hit 104. a fever is a normal way for a childs body to fight off an infection or virus, also make sure your giving the right amount of tylenol. go by their weight not their age, if you find tylenol still not working you can also try childrens advil.

Take a receiving blanket and get it wet. strip him down to just his diaper and put the blanket on his head to help cool him down.

I wipe mine down with a lukewarm wet wash cloth. The back of the neck forearms and head. 101.2 is not a high fever for a baby.

MY son hit 104.9 on christmas eve 2010. Alternate between motrin/advil and tylenol you can use them all just consult the doctor on the doses. When all else fails my doctor said throw him in a snowbank.

Alternate between tylenol and motrin, bath and you can also see if he'll suck on a popsicle. May sound funny but it works! Hope he feels better

I had to alternate Tylenol and Advil. neither one would bring it down by itself. Give one wait 2 hours if not down give the other and repeat. a warm bath helps too.

Tylenol, Motrin, Bath, nursing/skin to skin contact is a great way to bring down his temp.babies can regulate their temp off of you. He may be just teething both of my children ran 101-103 when breaking in new teeth. Dr says it is normal. good luck i hope he is feeling better soon.

Keep doing what you're doing, He's at the age to get baby measles. The fever could last a good Full 3 days. Just try to keep the fever in check (worry when it goes to over 103 and can't get it down). He'll probably break out in spots after the fever breaks. If the fever lasts longer than the 3 days go to the DR.

I know that's not what you want to hear. Fevers can be scary, good luck to you.

Also, you can double up with Advil and Tylonol if you need to. Remember Advil use every 8 hrs.
