Has anyone else's baby got teeth?

My daughter ws born May 20 2010 and at 9 months she already has her 4 front teeth.. popsicles helped alot.. but not anymore.. Tylenol and ibu dont help much either unless she's going to bed.. I cant get orejal in her mouth unless she's crying and i've tried teething tablets... they work a little.. They recently told me try toast or frozen pancakes.. I have one of those boo-boo covers (plastic thing full of water for kids ouchies) and i freeze that and give it to her and she loves it.. But now the problem is SLEEPING. She use to sleep from 8pm to 10 am and up only once. And now she's up every 3-4 hours.. And nap times are only about 20-30 minutes.. Have you found any solutions?? Im going crazy here.

My son was born on May 23rd. He has 8 teeth right now. We use frozen teethers and baby orajel. Sometimes if he has a fever we will give him some baby tylenol.

My son went through all of this too. He now has 6 teeth and is working on a couple more. I give him advil 2x a day, along with cold teething rings and a vibrating teether that we got him. This seems to work great. I prefer advil to tylonal because it lasts longer, (6-8 hours as opposed to 3). She will calm down here shortly, probably after her top 2 come in. Other than that try to comfort her with her favorite foods and juices durring meal time. If they are things that she really likes then she will be more apt to eat them. If she has trouble spitting up while teething, try some colic/gripe water. It does a good job of setteling their stomachs without giving them yet more medicine, which can also upset their stomachs. I use homeopathic teething tablets that I get at Walgreens. They carry two brands and I have used them both. They work great! They are white and one is a little pill that looks like powder(don't remember the name), the other is Humphreys and it looks like little white nerds(the candy). The directions say put it under the tongue or disolve in water. I just get them in their mouth (I give 4 at a time) and that is sufficient. They are good to go in a matter of minutes. and because it is homeopathic, you can't over do it like if it were a pharmacudical. so it's safe for them, that's the really nice part. I have 4 girls, and used these for 3 of them. Love them!!!

im having the exact same prob, my little girl was born on 25th may and she cut her first two teeth in october last year and she was no problem with them but shes just cut another 3 last week and her mood is so up and down and refusing solid food which she never normally does and shes got a runny nose and terrible sore bum (which apaz my partner did as a child when teething) so your not the only one out there.

I used the teething tablets with my first and they worked well for all of the front teeth, but please be aware that they were recalled this last October for inconsistant dosing of whatever chemical is in it.

im having the same exact issues my son is like 5 days older then yours and his 3rd one is coming in try tylonel! that help me lots give her .8 before shes goes to bed and she'll sleep through the night mine doesnt. although all babies are different but that is something to try :)

My little girl was born on May 26th and she got her first 2 teeth last month (around the 20th of Oct) She has always been moody but since they have come through she has been up and down, either in a fantastic mood or a really bad mood. She has been sleeping through for 12 hours since she was 4 weeks but has woken me up twice this week for a dose of calpol & some teething gel. My eldest daughter (now 18 months) didnt get any teeth until she was 7 nearly 8 months.

my little girl is almost 6 months and has been teething for a long time she finally has a tooth breaking through and we just give her toys that she can chew on anything textured that is made to chew on helps relieve pressure in their gums and relieves pain during the day i use orajel or if she has a bit of a temp i use baby tylenol

My son just cut his two bottom teeth! It's his first ones. He was born on May 4th. He has been waking up at night for weeks now to drink his bottle because he won't drink them during the day. He just eats tons of solids instead. I would suggest teething tablets but the have been recalled. My son doesn't like the frozen washcloths but I got a fruit feeder the other day and I froze some juice in an ice tray. Then I put the frozen juice inside the feeder so that he wouldn't choke and he ate that for a while. I don't know how much it helped with his teeth but he liked it.



My dr. says I can give my son the dropper of baby tylenol, it's either .8 or .08, which ever is listed on the dropper itself. A friend of mine said she gave her son frozen bagels to gnaw on. Of course, there are also people that mention paragouric (spelling?) and whiskey on their gums, but I don't recommend either of those things.

My son had his 2 bottom teeth when he was 3 month old, Now he has 6. Tylenol, Orajel and keeping a pacifier in the freezer at all times has helped. He hates teething rings cold.

My daughter was born on May 7th also...she has one tooth and another is close. She runs a temp of about 100, she is not a screamer usually, so it's hard to read when she is in pain, so when she gets a little fussier than normal I give her baby oragel...the tablets were all just recalled. Her sleeping pattern has also been altered...she gets up mid morning now but takes super long naps during the day...it used to be the opposite, I attribute that to the teething. May start administering tylenol or ibuprofin.

my son, born on May 20th, 2010 just popped his first tooth yesterday and another one will be coming in really soon. I have been using frozen washcloths and orejel. I will have to try the teething tablets. I hear they work miracles

Yeah my son was born the 17th of May and he got his 2 bottom teeth a week before he hit 4 months he was very irretable. The best thing to do is give them a teething ring and try to play with her to keep her mind off the pain

Yes I also bought a couple of different types of teethers, she plays with all of them. and everything else also goes straight to the mouth. She started chewing and drooling around 2 - 3 months already. So we expected it to be quite soon. I've heard of that teether I think online or something it does look interesting. I bought my baby's teethers at Toy's R Us, and they weren't expensive at all.

My son was born on may 7 as well- he just got his two bottom teeth in. Those teething tablets have been recommended by everyone- they're made by hyland's. I give him a little motrin at night cause he has had a slight temp with it.

my little one is coming up to 6 months and his first tooth is just coming through. I have not noticed things like runny nose or temps but he is biting very hard on things. I brought this teether called sophie the giraffe. Its very effective and won a gold award however, it all depends on whether your baby takes to it or not.

My baby girl was born on the 6th May, and she got her first 2 teeth when she was around 4 & half months old. She wasn't sick at all, I didn't even notice the tooth was out the first time, and the second followed quickly behind. She is a little cranky these last few days, I'm not sure what it is exactly, but we manage, she is not a problem child at all.

My daughter was born on May 20th and was born with a tooth coming in. Took her to the Dentist and he said it was fine. It is all the way in now and I am sure there is more on the way soon as she is drooling and super fussy in the evening. Will have to try those teething tablets and other things all of yall have mentioned.

My daughter is 5.5 months old now.. She started showing signs of teething at 3.5 months.. Red cheeks, excessive dribble, rashes on her cheeks, hands in mouth, food fussiness, not sleeping and constantly in a foul mood.. No sign of teeth yet.. she has her good days, others not so much.. these past few days have been harder than most.. We tried rusks, teethers etc.. just throws them in a temper and gets more worked up... Now we use the Brauers teething relief.. its natural and doesnt contain paracetamol or asprin.. Usually works for us.. depending on the level of discomfort.. Id say 8/10 for relief.. but every baby is different. I pray these teeth come in soon.. Its been very stressful on all of us, and our poor little cherub is so over it!! I hope your little lass gets better soon xx

My son 5 month got 2 teeth already, and 2 more is coming!
I'm using Boiron Camila (it's homeopathic) during the day, and ORajel during the night! Helps a lot!
He also likes to chew on hold. I offer him chilled toys and whole carrot to chew on.

My daughter (now 3yrs old) teethed from the time she was 4 months but didn't get a tooth until 8.5 months. My son appears to be following in her footsteps...he's like a tap with a broken washer :) Good think I have a ton of bibs because we go through a number of them in a day!

As for the pain of teething, I gave my daughter Tylenol and Motrin (when it was available). My school of thought is we don't suffer through a headache or other aches and pains, why make these little guys do it? They go through so much so fast with the rate they grow and the developmental milestones they meet. I figure I'll at least give them pain relief when I can.

I have heard great things about the teething tablets and am going to try them with my son.

My daughter was teething pretty hard an i was using lots of bonjela an panadol which i hated. But for a natural alternative i have started using bambeados natural teething amber necklace. They have helped heaps. She no longer cries or grabs at her ears or bites down hard on anything. Also the dribble has cut right back too. It has saved my daughter from alot of trouble an no more bonjela or panadol which im thankful for cos i dont like using medication even for myself.

My daughter Liera has her 2 bottom teeth and has had them for about 2 months she is now cutting the top 2 we just keep her dummies in the fridge, use baby panadol when it gets really bad and she has rusks when she wants to bite everything.

I am not sure if my daughter is teething or not... born on the 13th of May. She drools like there is no tommorow and recently developed a runny nose? Is it related? I have been giving her the Hylands teething tablets and she definatly gets releif from those... also been rubbing her gums and cold wash cloths.... with relief... if it is not teething... not sure what it is...

my daughter was born on may 8th 2010 and she has like 7 teeth. go to walmart and get teething tablets they are homeopathic remedy and they work pretty good for my daughter thay also have a teething gel made from the same people i havent really used it yet so not sure if its that helpful.

My little guy was born may 14th and he just got his 1st tooth. he was really fussy and had a runny nose. I was told about teething tablets after he has started to feel better. when the next one starts coming in i am going to be picking some of those up. they came highly recommended to me by several moms.

my little boy was born may 13th and he also has his first two teeth, he hasn't been sleeping like he use to and he's been a little moody lately. i have no idea how to relive it i wish i did. talking to friends i was told that baby tylenol but you should talk to your doctor about it first :)

My son, Carter is teething, but his teeth haven't actually come in yet. I use some baby orajel when it get's really bad for him, and he seems so relieved! But I also try a frozen washcloth for him to chew on, sticking my clean finger in his mouth or a cold bottle of water and they all seem to help :)
