Nearly 7 Month old still waking of a night

Its normal for babies not to sleep all night especially when they are teething, none of mine have. I would avoid Tylenol and give Motrin on occasion, I give Ethan teething tablets. All of my kids have done this and it really really sucks but hang in there;) Baby Oragel works too, but I have always been told to only use Tylenol and Motrin when its absolutely necessary because it is not good for there little bodies.

My daughter stopped sleeping through the night when she got the flu shot (3 weeks ago) and is now fighting sleep! To be honest, I feel a little better knowing that I am not alone in this and that there may be some relief soon. The advise I have been given, by my seasoned mom friends, is Oragel and Motrin at night for the teething and to be patient. Best of luck!

My 2 and ahalf year old still had 2 feeds through the night until 18 months old..when i was 3-4 months pregnant...still waking until 2. My 7 month old only sleeps about 1 hour through the day, goes to bed very late 11.30pm-1am and wakes at least twice for a breast feed before 7am...he is on solids, breastfeeding on demand, crawling and standing/trying to walk, talking 5 words and very happy and interactive with his 2 and a half year old brother plus everyone else! All babies are different and have interchangeable needs. As long as they are happy and healthy. I have also been advised that solids, physical development e.g. crawling, metal development can all reduce infant sleep times. Also that babies who sleep less can be more advanced or achieve some developmental milestones earlier. My 2 and a half year old knows all alphabet, numbers to 30, multiple songs & nursery rhymes word for word, completes complex jigsaw puzzles and interacts in full sentences.He never slept through the night once until he was 18 months old and has only been consistently sleeping through for a few months. Soooo my mental state may be pretty unstable...lol...but the boys are just fine!!

My daughter is now 21months and slept like an angel until 6 months when she got a tummy bug and then started teething! She then woke up EVERY NIGHT and I mean every night until she was 12months when I put her in her own room! now she sleeps 12hours every night You could try less naps in the day or put teething gel on his gums just before bed because they might be too uncomfortable for him to sleep.

I am in the same situation. My daughter will wake up about 2-4 times a night and we have tried everything. Its frustrating

My son has never slept through the night. During teething he was up each hour wanting to be cuddled and nurse. That lasted a couple of nights, but just long enough that he's made it a (bad) habit! Don't know how to get him back on a reasonable night-waking routine!?

I feel your pain, we are in exactly the same situation. He used to sleep through the night and then when he started teething he stopped and hasn't slept through the night since. It's frustrating when you get spoiled by your baby sleeping all night and then you go back to square one! I feel like I'm going nuts sometimes!

I give my little guy a shot of Tylenol or Motrin (when its available :S). I take a pain reliever when I have pain, why shouldn't he be extended the same courtesy? But, he does tend to wake when the medication wears off.



Another thing to note is if your baby starts to hit a number of milestones at once, their sleep patterns may change. My older daughter did the same thing but went back to sleeping through the night once she got the hang of the new things she was learning.

My does not sleep through the night either and he's about to be seven months. He did for a while. I don't know what the problem is
