Ok everyone I need some clarification on this. I am mommy to 2 girls, Abigail is 6 and Isabella is 6 months. When Abby was a baby and didnt feel good or was teething it was ok to give her tylenol or motrin. There was also things at the store like infant decongestant. Isabella is sick and I cannot find anything for her. I gave her Tylenol and her Doctor had a freakin heart attack. Is this happening to anyone else?

They try to freak because they don't want parents unnessesarily medicating their kids. But yes, it is impossible to find medicine for any child under the age of 2 it seems like. If you need a decongestant, I suggest the vicks vapor rub, johnson & johnson vapor bath wash, and the liquid vicks vapor to add to the humidifier. Just get the plain warm humidifier, no need to spend big bucks for the fancy ones, the cheap ones work just as good. I found mine at Walgreens.

My doctor told me that I can give my son tylenol for his teething. I don't know how much your daughter weighs but my son is around 17-19lbs. My doctor based the dose on his age I think though because they told me over the phone. It's to the .08 line on the dropper ever 4hours. Maybe you just have a doctor that doesn't like to give babies meds. I think mine has the opposite problem but that's a whole different post! Good luck and I hope your DD feels better soon.
