my two year old boy has always been a little sensory sensitive. now that i'm starting to think about it i wonder what's normal. he wont take baths (only showers and wont go under the water), wont go in sand, wont go on grass in bare feet, and also doesn't like most loud sounds (loud trucks, motorcycles, vaccuums, blenders, glow worm music, tv is too loud, toys making noises). he is very particular. he is otherwise a happy (but whiney), smart,, social, excitable, cuddly young boy. should i worry? should i get him checked out by a specialist? does anyone elses toddler struggle with the same fears/anxieties about these things?

My 2yr old is sensitive to loud sounds but does not have the touch sensory issues. I plan to talk to the Dr at his next visit, per a friend's advice with a child with autism. It may just be something they will out grow ! I just don't remember my other children being as sensitive as he is. He is to a point where he is covering his ears and gets really scared. Best to ask the expert on this one I think!
