I was very active the day I went into labor with my son: I took about a mile walk, climbed stairs and cleaned my house from top to bottom. I drank the red raspberry leaf tea the night before as well. So for me, it was alot of activity combined with the tea that sent me into labor. Good luck to you!

I tried all the myths from eating pineapples, having sex, bouncing on a ball, driving on bumpy roads and nothing worked. My doctor irritated my cervix and my waters broke 4 hours later. I was booked for an induction the next day and I am really glad I avoided that!

With both my boys, I hula hooped. I know that it sounds dumb, but it worked. I tried walking, but that got boring and hot. I asked the doc why people said that walking help and she said that it helps move those hips and the rocking motion of the hips gets the baby in position and that helps start labor if his head is rubbing everything down there. Thats when I decided to hula hoop. With both of them I started contracting within two hours. I would just watch tv and stop for contractions. Its really tricky, you might have to bend forward and hula with more of your booty then your hips, but once you get the hangof it....! I also tried castor oil with my second!... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS!

yes it was getting my boyfriend to stick his fingers on my cervix, covered in sperm to help thin it out. There is supposed to be a hormone in the sperm which helps the birth come along faster, and yes! it does work i gave birth 1 day and a bit later.

I just had my baby on the 12th of this month and what really got things going for me was an exercise ball. I went to the doctor on a thursday and she told me I was 2cm dilated, so I went home and continuously sat on an exercise ball and my baby was born tuesday night. It helps open up the pelvis and helps the baby move down into the right position.

I have been trying everything to induce labor. Unfortunately nothing has worked for me but maybe they will work for you. Walk a lot is a big one, sex of course, nipple stimulation, going upstairs 2 at a time, pressure points (look them up on internet), bouncing on exercise ball, can't remember the rest at the moment.

Well ive been drinking the Red Raspberry leaf tea its not suppose to make labor happen but its a start to toning your uterus! I also know there is nipple stimulation and pressure points and the evening primrose oil. Check out this site if u wanna read up a bit http://www.maternitycorner.com/mcmag/art...

I am curious too. I am supposed to be induced by the end of the week, but would really like to go into labor on my own before then if its possible. I know sex is always out there but my husband's schedule and mine do not coordinate well to make it possible. Anything I can do on my own?
