A gift from the new baby to the older one

My husband said that kaelyn wont understand its from the baby and honestly i dont think it matters if she realizes its from the baby either way she gets something new to show her that just because we have a new baby who gets lots of new things doesnt mean that she will be left out.

Yeah we gave him the stuffed wolfie toy! He likes it, but doesn't seem to understand that Fierna gave it to him, still a fun gift tho!

We just ordered kaelyn a "mimi moby" for when the baby comes as a gift from the baby. I have a full size moby wrap that i plan on useing alot and im excited that she will be able to wear her baby dolls like i wear sister.

I Have heard of doing this and plan on doing it. I bought a box of legos, but he ended up trying them for his easter present instead, as he broke his leg the day before and I just couldn't give him an outside you when he was so helplessly stuck inside. so now I need to find something else for him. Thinking maybe a movie

The cars were EXCELLENT!! And when he came for his second visit, the gummy ocean pals were a charm. Idk if that is why or not, but Tucker is head over heels in love with Rylie :-)

My aunt gave me an extra gift at my baby shower for our Jimmy to give to Kevin on the day. It's a Toy Story 3 plate, bowl, cup and silverware set. We were already thinking of getting something for baby to give to big brother, now we don't have to shop for it! Hope he likes it enough to combat any hard feelings about the attention Jimmy will be getting. Kevin is nearly 4 now, so I think he'll have his moments, but for the most part, he's getting super excited about meeting his brother.

My daughter received so many gifts for Christmas that I put a couple away in her closet (without opening them) so they've ready and waiting for her when the new baby comes. I read about it awhile back and thought it was a great idea so that's been my plan all along. Just have to get batteries...

Laura, Kaelyn loves cars.LOVES them. we got her the fisher price wheel pals that are in pastel girl colors and there all bugs but she would rather play with a hot wheel car. She would also rather play with a ball then any other toy. She likes her dolls but has only paid attention to them since we started talking about the baby and even then i have to encourage her to play with a doll rather then blocks or a ball or car

We got kaelyn a new BIG SISTER outfit for when the baby comes, i'm thinking about making a mini MOBY wrap myself as a gift from mommy and daddy(we have a normal size one for me) and a new stuffed animal for her to carry in it from her new sister( she treats her animals like babies and likes them more then her dolls.lol). We are going to let Kaelyn give her new sister her "Banky" as her gift so she will know that when ever her sister needs her comfort blanket she has it because kaelyn gave it to her,



MARTHA, we got kaelyn a Big sister book too. she wants to read it everyday , but we go every other night. She loves it, it will be going in my nursing basket once the baby arrives as one of my items to distract her.

i found a book called IM A BIG BROTHER...and then he got a cool new coloring/glow in the dark type crayola toy he will love..:) but i have heard this..and even if they are too young to GET it....well new baby will be getting a lot of attention and it will be a nice distraction for all the attention baby is getting.. i think my little one will be more excited to play with the baby! lol he seems to like newborns! and all the toys that come with them..since i put his BABY toys away a while ago..he gets to see them all again~!

I always thought boys liking cars was a stereotype, well I think I was wrong! There's just something about cars that Eric finds irresistible! I wonder if girls are equally drawn to playing with cars......I guess we will find out eventually!
