i went for a second level 2 ultrasound yesterday for my twins cause they didnt want to cooperate on the first one. when doing the scan my daughters amniotic fluid was a bit low (not sure how much cause they didnt say) and my sons fluid and growth was fine. she also has a little blood flow restriction in part of her umbilical cord when they were doing the doplar tracing but they said it wasnt something to worry about since she showed appropriate growth. i have to go back on the 17th for another level 2 ultrasound and i go to my regular OB monday for some lab work since im also having swelling and some other issues.. they want to check me for preeclampsia and are likely going to be putting me on bedrest soon.. im going to be starting week 24 on sunday..

is anyone else having or have had these issues and if so is there anything that can be done to increase the fluid?? drinking more water or certain foods??? would love to know...

This is the reason I have monthly ultrasounds..low fluids.
As long as the doctor doesn't think its something to get worked up over, then don't. They are excellent at letting you know when something is seriously up.
As for your questions...all research I've done and all the questions I've asked my doctors. Nothing can be done to prevent or increase fluid levels. Sometimes they can regenerate but more often than not..no. With my son they didn't catch the fluid levels until the last week and I had to be monitored very closely (in the hospital) to make sure it wasn't stressing him out, etc. So they're being extra precocious (sp?) with this one..starting with monthly ultrasounds.
Good luck girl!! keep us updated!
