at 4 months we still have no rolling but she can sit unassisted for about a minute and if she has her bopy pillow behind her for balance can sit unassisted for 2-3 minutes :) she can hold her own weight well on her legs and has complete head control, today she gave me and daddy her first real baby kiss, she grabed my face with both her hands and pulled herself to my face and opened her mouth as wide as she could then looked up and smiles

Don't think of it like that, just remind yourself that just because it seems like he isn't doing something the same as other babies he is working on something else, maybe speech rather than movement :-)

Fierna is almost 14 months and she has 11 teeth! Eight middle ones, top and bottom, and then a bottom molar, and two top molars. Crazy cuz she was at 7 teeth from 9 months til 12.5 months and then popped 4 in one week! THough the molars are still making their way in.

Alanna uses the word "daddy" to mean, daddy, the doggy, the bird, whatever she is pointing at. Also, it is so funny to us that she says "tikol, tikol, tikol...." as her babbling. We figured out she is using her version of "tickle" when she says that!

Both my kids were/are early talkers. But some big differences, like Eric never said mama til he was a few mons past a year! Yet that was fiernas first word that she would say when she was sad as a baby, like 5-6 months and on.
Now her main words she says all the time are baby puppy kittie mine eat no mama thankyou bye bye na night hi up help daddy she was saying but now hasn't in a while, bubbles' ball...that's it for regularly used words I think. Oh and she signs more and mine as well as saying mine-A LOT.

(earlier than his brother did at 1 yr) and knows a few words....he now says hi name..which is really cute....feeds himself everything and is much more independent..ie must do everything on his own....learning to get upset when we try to help....climbing on and off the couch! really starting to climb/step on things to get to other things....not quite ready for that yet ! haha

Yeah Fierna is a mini toddler or almost a mini teen agre I think sometimes. She's finally understanding no a lot more and will stop sometimes when I say it. She is running and climbing and trying to jump and dancing and riding toy cars and loves push or pull toys! She still has the same 7 teeth she's had the past 4 months! She can say about 15-18 words and does some two word sentences.
She's a size 5 shoe :) I'm really enjoying this age! Having a 3yr old and a 1yr old is a lot of fun especially now as its summer!

Foot powered cars, climbing, jumping, bouncing, running, babbling away, eating everything... Hello toddler age :-)

Not really a milestone in terms of development but it's a big deal in our house lol....She's figured out all her big brother's little quirks...it no longer works when he tries to "swap" toys with her or tries to distract her away from his toys. She retaliates by hitting, pushing, biting, punching, etc.. Thank goodness he is so gentle and just asks for help instead of doing it back, but goodness she has a mean streak when she wants her way!

Oh and 10 teeth now!

[deleted account]

Oh poppy climbs everything, Ethan encourages her and makes her worse lol.

We still only have four teeth, the fourth is currently working it's way out.

Fierna now has 7 teeth! She's lopsided on the bottom :) all her previous ones came in pairs as did Eric's so this is silly!

She's now into climbing and pushing things over to step on to get things. :-0

She's finally stopped eating random things too so that's super nice. She still tastes most everything but now she doesn't actually swallow them :)

[deleted account]

Poppy has been walking unaided since 10 months old (a couple of weeks as she's 10 1/2 months now) and is getting better and better at it, she still prefers to crawl though if she really wants to get somewhere or really wants something...we're going to buy her first shoes this week because she is walking strongly now :-)

She has discovered the word baba and uses it to sing lol, she sings twinkle twinkle (with the right tune) and does the twinkle hand action and can clap along to things now which is sooo cute. She also points at anything or anyone she wants (this is new to me, Ethan never did it lol). She's trying to use a spoon now to eat her yogurt too.

I love this age there is so much development and they do so many exciting things :-)

At 11 months Lily is walking with the support of her baby carriage/walker and has taken a few steps on her own. She has 4 teeth and can say bee...she has bumble bees above her crib and changing table and will point to the bees and say bee. She just started waving to us and can operate one of the baby apps on our iPad(you touch the screen to make the animals talk).

she stands on her own now and is really close to walk and walk. She also babbles non-stop and so does Sofia

[deleted account]

Poppy can say dada (she said it when she was 8 months old) and says mama when she really wants me, although she doesn't say either regularly yet.

She has started just standing up in the middle of the room (consistently, she's been standing up for awhile), I don't think it's going to be too long before she starts trying to take unaided steps...she pushes her push a long walker and walks behind it.

She plays with toys really well, and loves sharing them with others (oher terms lol). It's amazing watching her play, Ethan didn't until he was over a year old.

She has 2 teeth :-)

Rosie doesn't have any "words" yet, but she babbles non-stop. I think she's starting to try to label things with her sounds, but I haven't decoded any of it! :) She cruises everywhere, but no unsupported steps yet. Her sleeping is stretching out (at least one 6 hour stretch most nights) and she wants to eat real food all the time. She plays with toys a lot, and will hold a toy and then pass it to someone and then take it back again. And if she poops, she'll come over, stand at my knee and make some complain-y noises. I think she's finally on a napping schedule too. I can't believe how fast the time has gone...oh, and she has outgrown almost all of her 9 month clothes!

The cutest is Eric, she says eeeHHH the inflection is important lol. Dad she says baba, boob she says bahb. Hi is like ai with a wave. More is just mmmm andshe signs up and all done.

She's walking now most of thetimethough she and Eric sometimes play puppies and crawl after eachother around the house :)

I was told by my doctor it was ok since she's been eating 7oz of formula since she's been 9 weeks old. She smiles a lot and tries to talk:)

[deleted account]

Poppy knows her name she turns every time we use it, even though we use a multitude of other names as well (pop, poppet, poptastic, poppy doodle, popster etc), poppy is so close to crawling it is so exciting, oh and she pulled herself up to standing yesterday using me lol :-)

Fia started really truly crawling on dec 22. So between 6-7.5 months she's exploded in mobility! Pulling to stand t 6 months, cruising around 6.5 months, army crawling the day before 7 months, sitting herself up around 7 months, standing alone at 7 months and a few days, and real crawling at 7.5 months.

She doesn't know her name yet though.....we call her baby, fia, and Fierna, so she might be confused!

Rose had a very big day yesterday. She got back to sitting after scooting on her belly (and then did it every time she woke up in the crib afterward), and she pulled up to stand in her crib last night! She gets mad now, if she wants to be standing and no one will help her get up. We don't have anything the appropriate height for her to pull up on unassisted. She'll be 8 months on Jan 5th. I feel like her baby time is going by so fast!! :)

Rose is trying to pull up on everything, but she has zero balance when standing! She gets very excited when she is upright though. She is motoring around everywhere, but not actually crawling. Soon we'll have to close off all the stairways! She is going to be a hoot on Christmas. :) She's started really babbling now too...lots of "dai dai" and raspberries. Too cute. Oh, and she eats everything. Last night I shared my guacamole with her and she loved it. She's a great little eater and she's routinely only getting up once in my night. We are having a fabulous time! :)

Right around Fierna turning 7 months she started standing up unassisted! She would be cruising and then just let go and stand there smiling and giggling at herself! She looooooves standing now and she always starts smiling and laughing when ever she is standing alone. It's super cute and really surprising for me cuz she isn't even perfected crawling yet! She can crawl a short ways but she isn't really 'crawling' I guess she prefers standing! It's retry cute and I'm sure she will melt all the hearts of our families over Christmas :)

So the other day...he pulls up on my legs and then lets go and just stands there for a bit! not tooo long but enough that it went in the baby book !woohoo go micah! :)

She's not belly off the ground yet but she much prefers cruising on the furniture to crawling so I'm sure she will perfect the walking and not the crawling anyways. She can move all over our living room and she will play alone for a long time! She is very angry if you take a toy away from her too. Loud and mad!

I have a crawler! Isa is crawling everywhere, terrorizing the cats all day long. Also, she sits on her own and can be sitting for hours. she grabbed herself from a toolbox and stood up on her own. Both babies hold their bottles and eat on their own if the food is big enough for them to grab it. They love broccoli, all veggies and fruits, meat, chicken and scrambled eggs :)

If only her legs could lock up she would be all over the place. She has also started standing for upwards of a minute or so, not ready for her to walk, but she will be soon

so Micah only rolled 2x from 2 mo till about 5 1/2 mo....so I was hoping for more..but him rolling those times made me feel a little better..and hes almost 21-22lbs so hes got a lot to roll..LOL ..so about 4 days ago..he just reaches over for a toy and rolls from back to tummy and pops his arms out....it started after I started sleeping him on his tummy...i guess more "tummy time" ANYWAYS now hes rolling all over..and he has been sitting up for a while now...prob anywhere from 20-30 min to honestly over an hour at a time...he loves to be higher in the room...so then I was on skype with my friend showing her the pack n play and i set Micah in it...he just reaches in front of himself and grabs on and pulls to standing for a second or two..I WAS LIKE WHAT?! YOURE NOT EVEN 6 MO...oh man...sooooooooooo since then he has pulled up anytime he has something in front of himself! woohoo :) and we almost have our 2nd tooth!

Em has just learned to roll from her back to her tummy, she figured out the tummy to back bit a few weeks ago.
She can scoot around backwards when on her back & has often scooted off the mat & onto the tiles (with disasterous results!)
She self settles & rarely uses a pacifier to sleep now.
She is my little princess & I am biased!

But she still can't get up into the crawl pose. I'm wondering if the cloth duaoers hinder some movement cuz they're bulkier. But oh we'lL she's doing great ;) just in the past few days shes experimented with adding consenents to her jabbering " I've heard some rararara and a bit of lalala and even twice swear I heard her say mamama!

I'm waiting for my sons last four teeth to come through (2yo) they're giving him trouble, definitely the worst of them all :-( there's nothing wrong with doing delayed solids if your child isn't ready for them :-)

[deleted account]

Chelsea I'm thinking the same with poppy, she is 100% teething but I don't think shell have any teeth for a while...her big brother Ethan was the same he started showing all the signs for teething at about 3 months old but didn't cut his first tooth until he was 8 months old (he then cut 4 teeth in a week) so I think we've got a while left yet poor mites! Teeth don't worry me though because it has nothing to do with development they're just a physical attribute, and despite old wives tales saying so they do not need teeth to start solids (I know you haven't said any of this but it is one of my pet hates lol)

She sits unsupported, has 4 teeth, eats solids like a crazy baby, wants the tv remote all the time, 'rakes' toys and snacks towards herself, spins around on her tummy on the floor, "talks" a ton, chews on everything, is very vocal and laughs all the time. She has also doubled her birth weight. Where did my tiny helpless baby go?? :)
