preterm labor

last week on friday, i went in to see my doctor for pressure and lower back pain. found out i was dilated and 80% effaced. started having contractions. i was admitted to the hospital and they gave me magnesium, steroid shots for the baby, and a round of antibiotics. i was released sunday with no restrictions or prescriptions. saw my doctor on tuesday this week and she placed me on bed rest and prescribed me procardia. i haven't had any contractions nor dilating any more since last friday. any one else have had this happen to them?

i havent but they are watching me carefully for low fuild on one of my babies and im also gonna be getting worked up for PIH(pre eclampsia) and are considering bedrest for me as well..

i sure hope that you are able to hold out and they can get you a few more weeks of time before your little one comes. do they have you on bed rest at home or in the hospital?? how far along are you? keep us posted and best of luck!!!

Sounds nerve wracking!
Do you have older kids? Or is this your first?
Either way, please rest up!
Your baby could really use some extra time in there, although if you were to deliver survival rates are quite good by this age. :)
Bed rest might feel annoying, but keeping your baby safe is your number one priority.
