Prominent jugular vein on the left side. Normal?

My baby has a very prominent jugular vein on the left side. It has been bothering me more and more as I don't know if it signals a problem, or it is normal. I cannot see the doctor until Thurs so I was wondering if anyone else's child is the same way, or does anyone know of other children the same way?

The doctor said it was normal because it was only really prominent when she cries. He said that if it was prominent when she was at rest then it would indicate a problem. How is your son Allie? Can you tell me more?

I took my son to the doctors and asked about it cause he has one too.
and the doctor told me it was a murmur.but a normal one.
