Have you tried a second opinion?

If you are worried I'd find another dr to see him.

Otherwise trust that he's fine!

If he's gaining and acting normal then maybe the wheezing is just seasonal type allergies.

they said since hes gaining weight and not spitting up as much they arent concerned

Hmmm that sounds strange..they can change things around to figure out why he is still having issues. Or do soy now. Or...many other things. For them to just say wont know till he's one doesn't sound right. I know they can't do the back prick test until one, we're waiting on that too. But they can do other things and try things to figure some things out

laura he has been on that since he was about 3 mo or so it has help with the spitting up... and jennifer the pedi said they couldnt really test him for an allergy till hes 1 then they said they would kno more and could do more for him as long as hes gaining some weight and developing normally they arent concerned and they said he will prolly have to drink soy milk but wont kno till hes 1

Idk what the equivalent to enfamil that similac is. My daughter is in enfamil nutramigen, which is dairy and soy free. She has very bad dairy allergies (belly aches and breaks out in BAD hives all over, especially her face) and at the time was too constipated to try soy. She will be trying soy again after we go to her next checkup on the 21. Anyways..the whole point of that is when she was switched, she had some of the same symptoms as yours.

Although many babies are fevered when teething. And I have never heard of wheezing except asthma related so idk.

As long as your pedi isn't worried about his weight, don't worry. Rylie is 15 lbs 11 oz and is a bit over 9 months now. Some kids are just small and it sounds like he is developing good too

How long has he been on that? Has it helped at all? I don't know much about formula, but I'm assuming that is dairy free?

yea the dr put him on a formula for milk sesitivity similac alementium

Many many babies are sensitive to dairy. If he's breastfed have you tried eliminating dairy from your diet?

If he's on formula have you tried non dairy formula?

Dairy sensitivity looks a lot like seasonal allergies from what I read.

drs says hes ok and they arent worried yet (thats the part that worries me) other than the weight hes developing pretty normally took him awhile to sit up but he sat up and stood up in the same day!! My consern is he ALWAYS seems sick either really weezy or fevered or belly ache....im not sure if its just because of the allergy or not

He sounds ok to me!

He's not that tiny really, I've known smaller babies who are perfectly healthy.

Look at him as a whole, not just his weight. Is he developing well? Is he active and alert and does he interact with you and others?

Pee and poop normally?

He could just be a very sensitive guy and he might just need extra tlc :)

If the drs can't find a thing to worry about then try to not worry.

the drs arent concerned and they said his lungs are clear so no asthma they said we would know more when he turns one...i just feel like im doing something wwrong

The weight is fine. My daughter doesn't even weigh 16 pounds!! And is 9 months on the 2nd and also severely allergic to dairy. As long as the doctor isn't concerned about his weight, it's not an issue.

Has he been checked for asthma? Some of the symptoms you listed are key signs of asthma. Maybe a formula issue? Have you tried a hypoallergenic kind? Like nutramigen?
