I was diagnosed with bi polar June of last yr, and finally in March of this yr they got me in to see the therapist. They have had me on 3 different medicines. First, one was Invega, which I got major headaches and diarrhea. Second, Lartuda and got restless leg from that one. The one I'm on now seems to be doing alright. I get really light headed when I get up real fast, dry mouth, and it makes my anxiety level hit the roof.

I've know I was bi polar since I was about 15, but no one in my family believed me. Been on a really long journey, to even get me to admit that it got so bad that I needed meds to help me. I hope being here will help me get through this with other people who understand what I am going through.

I'm new to the group as well. I have never really been formally diagnosed but I've known I had depression since I was about 12. No one believed me either. I was on zoloft for a while & for a while it did work but then it just started to seem like it no longer affected me so my doctor put me on Lexapro for depression and anxiety, the latter being a more current issue for me. I feel like I'm doing much better on the Lexapro now....

I'm new on here too. My child has recently been diagnosed with (I call them)gifts also. I wish you all the best and I hope you get all the insight and support you are looking for. I'm sorry I wasn't very helpful but I just wanted to say hello!
