Make every moment with your military spouses a moment to remember. My husband has been away from us on military duties for close to 2 years now. My 2 year old daughter waits by the phone every evening for her daily dose of Papa's voice. Its all that we can have from him because he is in a war torn area. I have to thank God (daily) that he is able to call - a sign that he is alive!!!! I know that am being selfish, but when he calls, I do not want him to ask me about the weather, the kids' school etc, I want the moment to be about us. Its painful, but no one ever said that life is a bed of roses. Am hoping for better times to come, when he will be at home with me and the kids, without having to worry about where he is being moved to next.

Well, I'm sure that there are some people that say life is a bed of roses, but what they leave out is the part about the thorns. Wow, 2 years! My heart goes out to you, Unior! Praying for you and your family that God will bring your husband home safe and sound soon. Stay strong! Much love and blessings!

two years is so long to go without seeing him, how much longer does he have? stay strong! just keep thinking of that moment you are with him and know he never has to leave you again, nothing like that thought to keep someone motivated.

It is good you find peace in your faith and comfort in you childs eyes!! :) Hope your husband comes home to you soon, 2 years is a long time. Thank you for the gentle reminder that we need to be thankful for what we DO have. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in complaining about what we don't have we forget to reflect on the positive.
